Greed, lies, deception, self preservation. This saga is just filthy. We need a new episode of 'American Greed' to detail the darkness this thread has exposed.

A recurring theme on Eric & his BNC outfit has been 'oh he is such a nice guy', 'what a nice guy', 'great guy' but this proves to the naive that even 'nice' guys will bend you over backwards when they get that taste of the green, and we aren't talking about the herb or the environment here.

So BNC has been unequivocally exposed as a fraud despite being a 'nice' guy.

Oh man, the27guy. Whilst I am new here, I have noticed your frequent posts and what is apparent is you are trying to be nice to everybody. You got your finger in too many pies and you've shot yourself in the foot. It was pretty apparent from the outset that you were trying to save face in your business relationship with Eric whether that be out of self-interest or again just being nice but what is clear is that you have been protecting him. You should have taken the advice given by multiple members early on in the thread and again recently to step away from the thread. But turns out you couldn't and the bombshell from the Korean fellow shows why. Without knowing you personally I hope you can recover from this mess and you do need to reevaluate with who you align yourself with. This thread shouldn't be about you!

As a human re-entering the hobby after a 20 year absence this whole trimming enterprise is sickening but compelling reading nonetheless.

Keep up the great work detectives, you have exposed BNC, so please continue to expose the unsavory connections around this trimming fiasco because you better believe there are more scumbags complicit.

Soooooo..... Innocent until proven guilty but this is more and more looking like BNC made the trim. Not to glorify these scammers, but isn't this one of the biggest scams threads on here since like Haiku, Attyball, and Pejarox. Kind of crazy, I almost want to say this is one of biggest ones. If this is true, someone should save all the images of BNC's cards for sale that are graded, who knows what was trimmed or altered.... it would suck if those still were circulated in the hobby. But, I doubt it cause his stuff is so overpriced I don't think much of it is bouncing around.

This thread really has it all. Just spent 2 hours reading this. Could've taken longer; fortunately, I know which members' posts are worth skipping.

I don't follow the Lebron or Exquisite markets. But as was aptly stated above, if you tug at one part of the web, it affects other parts, too. All serious collectors should review this thread for themselves. Draw your own conclusions, don't let commenters unduly influence your decision. It's OK if there isn't a 100% clear answer. Just acquire the knowledge while acknowledging that it's partial or uncertain.

My halftime analysis (or is this really more like the 4th quarter of this thread?):

1-The27Guy is the man. He admits his biases up front. He is thoughtful, writes plainly, and invites scrutiny. This is why people can disagree with him. Also humble. He sets the standard. Compare to [some of the other posters] on this thread. I had to read stuff 3-4 times and still couldn't grasp some of it. (How much of that is ineptitude vs. obfuscation? Who knows.) With that being said, I disagree with a few things The27Guy said here and there. But I appreciate him saying everything clearly.

2-Pejc300 brought the comic relief in the early going. Come back.

3-What a prescient post about 1/3 the way through, where it was predicted that eventually commenters on this thread will end up banned.

4-Thanks to GeechQuest's post, I googled Bill Mastro for the first time. Whoa!

I also have the opinion the cards should be re-graded as altered as I wouldn’t trust anyone to disclose the truth to potential buyers. Let a few years go by and this could easily be swept under the rug which is unfortunate. Ethically, that’s the only thing that guarantees full disclosure. When dealing with this amount of $, that should be a necessity.

Latest evidence will be tough for the27guy to overcome in regards to BO public opinion. I think most of the hate up to that point was unnecessary, but some is understandable. He doesn’t appear to have much of a hobby relationship with BNC. But downplaying his collection and his well-written responses can certainly run people the wrong way. If that’s his genuine personality then no need to defend it, though.

But yikes, what an absolute mess of a situation.

Oh my,.... buybuymj opened the pandora's box revealing the evil, greed, lies and deceit. This is going to get even more ugly imo. I am new to this hobby (started 6 months ago) and so far I have seen shill bidding, trimming cards, forging vintage cards, using multiple fake user ID's to cheat others, etc., and the list goes on... Makes me seriously think if I should come out of this hobby

Where did Buybuymj pull the photo from in 2013? Did BuyNiceCards have it posted for sale or was it on his website? The only reason I ask is because of the disclaimer/text at the top of BuyNiceCards LeBron Exquisite section. Below it says a majority of cards aren’t owned by him.
