Realmuto is head and shoulders above his peers.

But trading Noah to get him makes no sense to me. You fill a need, for sure, but you weaken the area that you're strongest at, which is starting pitching. You then have an average rotation, when you could be average plus to elite in that position.

I'd much rather they sign a free agent (Ex. Wilson Ramos) instead, and keep their rotation and young group intact.

Isn't Realmuto an ex client of Brody...This gm is quite keen on bringing his Ex clients to the Mets or at least it seems that way.

"Young hurler Yordi Rosario and $500K in international spending capacity are going to the Bucs"

Sox gave up too much. Pirates didn't eat any money, all they should have gotten is the 500k

So according to Rosenthal at least one rival executive said that the Indians are interested in deals for Kluber or Bauer with Kip or Edwin attached. This will not help at all.

I like Yordi ... power arm and really did better with his command in '18.

Surprised the White Sox gave up something I would consider value.

Maybe if Cutch can also pitch every 5th game

They're really hurting for pitching

I don't understand this signing at all

That is a massive overpay. Wow. Hopefully they're out on Harper.

Doesn’t surprise me at all, I just hope the FO doesn’t continue to get in their own way with bullheaded thinking. Seems like that’s been the status quo the past year or two.

Jays cut tulo... Please Tigers, for the love of God sign him. We need to put butts in seats, and also need a shortstop. Results literally don't matter, we're going to stink regardless. Let him come to Detroit and try to rebuild his rep.

Seems like it. Problem is, LA needs to move 1-2 outfielders first.

Kemp, Pederson, Puig, Toles, Verdugo... Bellinger stays at 1B. You figure one of Puig or Kemp and one of Pederson or Verdugo.

Oh no...
I'm getting the dreadful feeling that signs are pointing to the Mets signing Tulo, then trading Rosario for Realmuto...
Sigh.. any Marlins fans want a huge Rosario RC collection when/if that happens?...

Jon Heyman of FanCred Sports hears that the Mets are being "very aggressive" on Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto.

According to Heyman, the debate internally with the Mets is whether to part with young shortstop Amed Rosario or Noah Syndergaard in order to make a deal happen. Syndergaard has been mentioned as a possible piece of a three-way trade involving the Yankees. The Mets were reportedly reluctant to include Rosario, but it seems that they could be willing to budge here. If they do, there's a good chance this could be done in a straight trade and they'll keep Syndergaard. It wouldn't be ideal to lose someone with Rosario's potential, but the thought is that they could turn to a defensive-minded replacement at shortstop.

Depends... How long does Bryce want to wait to be competitive. Sox would have to throw a pretty competitive pitch to him. I don't see him going to the Dodgers...

He's not even better than Contreras. JT's best year this past year was the same year (almost to the T) as Contreras in 2017. Contreras like most of the Cubs had a down year. Also Willson is younger.
