Does BGS still offer guaranteed 30 day service? I see that option when I create a new submission online but the downloadable form does not have 30 day service option.

The November special is a 30 day with no sub grades.

I am aware of that but the minimum for that promo is 50 cards. I am getting $8 per card for 37 cards for 30 day service and $8/card even for new submissions with less than 10 cards. Hence the confusion. I did not add the promo code either. Perhaps a technical glitch? Thank you.

I wonder if they are running the October/November special to test whether they keep up with a 30 service at that price and they have made their decision that they can.

It's odd that Beckett is about 1 full year out on their non-guaranteed turnaround service that used to take maybe 30-60 days, and they're not investing in their company by expanding their bandwidth. I know it's not done by machines and the graders should be experts ('tho the subjective nature of card grading is debatable for reliability and consistency), but c'mon BGS, you should take advantage of this public confidence and demand in your services and react respectfully by training more graders and getting more encapulation machines to keep up with the demand, otherwise other grading companies will earn the business away from you out of frustration. I'm a fan of BGS, and hope they don't make the wrong business decisions that renders them into an unreliable status. I'm glad they have the integrity not to crank out grades haphazardly to fill orders and shut up their customers with high grades just to get rid of the backlog 'tho.

They've lost me as a customer. Just hit 10 months on my order. Was told by my rep a few times when it should be done and every time it has come and gone without hitting those dates. Will be using only PSA from here on out.

Yep went through this too and alot of other issues with BGS last year

Only use PSA now and couldnt be happier

Also seeing alot of nonsense in other threads how some high end dealers who are also bulk sellers are resending some high end trimmed cards to BGS as a review submission and coming back with higher grades

Unreal

The writing was on the wall with BGS a long time ago and they are just not an ethical company

Done and dusted

Never again

BGS is great with turnaround. Just don't use a non-guaranteed service. I'm very surprised people were still subbing non-guaranteed orders after this thread was created.

With BGS you know your order will get logged as received either the day of arrival or the day after. It will get graded within the guaranteed window. And will then ship by the next business day.

With PSA, you never know what you'll get no matter the service level you use. jewcer's October 20-day sub was mailed to them on October 15th. It has still not popped. Tomorrow is business day 51!

I use PSA more than I do BGS now, but if you need your cards back in a timely manner, you have to go with BGS.

Has Beckett improved on delivery at all or making any attempts too?

Not at all. Just got worse throughout 2018. My rep mentioned a few months at first, then 6-7 months, and now just about to hit 11 months. Was told it would be done by the end of Jan.

BGS should be great with a guaranteed time for the cost per card. non-guaranteed is out of control. It's a shame that they can't get it figured out.

There is absolutely no part of my brain that understands why anyone would submit a single card for this service.

It was through COMC so it's not like I had to ship it, and I wasn't in any particular hurry for it to come back- I was expecting 10 months maybe? I never would've guess it would be over a year. That's just bad business guaranteed or not.

With the people they have in charge it's a wonder that they are still in business.

The turn around time for non-guaranteed orders is a year right now, i have an outstanding order there at the moment. They have been offering to get them out quicker if you choose not to have sub grades posted on the labels. I don't mind not having subs, but i don't like having to pay the same price for less service, as there is no discount for passing up the subs. That being said, I've had good customer service from Derek at Beckett, but their level of give a sht only goes so high and i do see them losing business in the future.

I'm not sure I could put valuables in a box and send them away for an unknown time period--and pay money to do it. That's what non-guaranteed has become. The other services have been quickly logged and pretty true to their estimates. Does anyone know if orders ever pop early like some PSA orders? Every BGS order I've subbed pops ON THE DEADLINE DAY no earlier no later.

Pretty much destroyed the reason to send them $50 to $100 cards. Just not worth it to send them out, wait for a year, get charged right away, and then dont have any sub grades. Right now, only a few of my high dollar PC stuff is heading to BGS. And the only reason for that is I already have too large of a portion of a rainbow to switch to PSA. At the same time I have subbed 250 cards to PSA that would have gone to BGS. Also, I have seen a lot more modern bowman cards going to PSA over BGS and selling for a hefty premium over BGS 9.5

I've noticed that too. There are a lot more Bowman Chrome rookie autos showing up in PSA slabs. Except I'm still thinking that one of the reasons they are selling for more is to recover part of the grading fee in the sale! If you're subbing a high-end chrome auto to PSA, you're looking at $75 for them to grade it. For a super high end chrome auto, like a Trout rookie...you're now at $200 for them to grade it. BGS is $20 bucks for the 20 day service regardless of the card's value.
