I'm currently drinking the last thing I brewed, a clone of Fresh Squeezed IPA.

Nothing better than an ICE cold Rolling Rock Extra Pale after mowing the yard.

Bell's is releasing their bourbon barrel aged Expedition Stout next week. They will start selling it in their General Store. They did make enough of it so it will hit distro. This has all the beer nerds psyched. If you want to try a great barrel aged imperial stout, this is the one to get.

Tonight I may have found my new favorite beer. Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. Highly recommend.

I've never replied to my own post before.

I went to Bell's Eccentric Cafe tonight for their All Stout's Day celebration. I participated in a tour there that was geared toward stout beers. Very engaging. If you ever have a chance to take a tour at Bell's, I highly recommend it.

I wasn't able to purchase any of their barrel aged Expedition in bottles this year so I had some tonight on tap. It was excellent as were all of their stouts that I tried tonight. Always a fun time at the Eccentric Cafe.

Had a Dunkel Lager from Von Trapp earlier. Great dinner beer.

Saw Bell's Christmas Ale at the Beverage Center today. Maybe next week that can be justified.

I've only seen this in the $15 wooden gift box as a bomber. Is it worth it?

Excellent beer, but probably not worth the ~$25/bottle they are charging now. It's a very sweet and maple stout that doesn't age particularly well and should be drank fresh. Seems like they made a lot more the last two years than previously.

Been drinking everything I can in Northern Virginia the last three days.

Solace, Rocket Frog, Crooked Run, Aslin and not pictured Eavesdrop Brewing.

Was anyone able to pick up any of the Goose Island Bourbon County Stouts that were recently released?

Yes I picked up the regular one and the Coffee Barleywine. It was about $15 for the coffee one. Some of the other releases were selling for $21. I didnt have any yet though.

My buddies and I have chased BCBS in the past but made a decision not to this year. BCBS and the variants are some damn fine beers but they are hard to chase down in Michigan. Goose Island doesn't send very much to Michigan so it's a big pain in the ass to chase down a bottle or two. Especially at their high prices.

Having said all that, I learned that a party store in my small town got a barrel of it for his growler station. I got two small 16 ounce bottles filled but I paid too much for them. $14 per bottle.

We shared 2017 bottles of regular BCBS, barleywine and coffee on Saturday night. All were excellent.

I was able to get 4 original and 1 orange from my local store on Saturday night. I’ve never had any before. I was hoping to get a few variations but couldn’t find any besides orange so i scooped up the max my store let me get.
