Definently not the same card. Serial numbers are obviously different.

The Kobe Platinum Medallion is likely fake as well.

I think this particular seller has been mentioned in this or another Rubies thread, but I could be wrong.

This seller is extremely tough to deal with. I would avoid. This rubies here is absolutely fake but he does have a lot of big time real cards.

This one sold back in 2007. Looks good ,but better eyeballs on here their mine.

I feel bad about being lazy, but figured I’d take a shortcut and see if there’s an easy answer that some of you vets can provide... what’s the likelihood that the ~$250 range Jordan inserts are fake? I’d like to pick up a couple of those Planet Metal inserts. I don’t know much about fakes or 90s stuff and don’t know if there’s a price point cut off for when they stop making fakes of some of these cards, meaning it may not be worth their while, whereas the PMGs/Rubies/etc bring high $$$$.

What a shame... these boat loads of fake have made collectors non stop chasing their tails trying to figure out whats real, and whats not. Heck, the grading companies don't even know anymore, so its a total loss. Reminds me of the Star cards back in the day. They made so many fakes of those Star cards that people even lost interest all together, and grading companies didn't even grade them for the longest time. Then BGS decided to flood the market with graded ones, probably having no clue whats real and whats fake. Its an absolute joke! Now the same with 90's inserts. I would never touch an insert card from the 90's... not to mention they don't appeal to me. But even if they did, I would only try to pull one out of a box, but even then, when I would have gotten tired of it, who would buy it not knowing for sure if it were real? A shame what they're done, and continue doing. The hobby has turned into a circus.

Agreed, I'd stay away unless someone can get ahold of a scan of the back. Hard to tell if it was omitted intentionally given that some of his other auctions don't include a back pic either...

I asked the seller a few days ago if I could see a picture of the back and so far haven't heard a word or seen anything.

Im glad this guy is banned b/c you cant fix stupid.

BGS was trained by longtime basketball card expert, Steve Taft..to grade Star cards.

There are some graded fake Star cards but rarely...human error happens.

I asked the same thing a few days ago. Earlier today I attempted to message him again and ebay told me that I wasnt able to so he obviously blocked me from sending him messages. What does that confirm?

It’s totally fake. You don’t sell a card worth several thousand dollars without taking a pic of the back.

You have to wonder if he bought it thinking it was real and is now trying to pass it off to someone else. He’s got some very nice real cards too.

Ha, I had to go back now and see if he blocked me.....yep he sure did. If that doesn't scream fake I don't know what does. Bummer, I cant even thank him for blocking me from bidding on his fake stuff
