Hey everyone...

I've changed the QB Max to 4 (was at 3). Therefore current QB's not drafted are FA and available via the waiver wire.

My bad guys I thought the draft was at 8 est. I mixed it up with another draft. just got home from dinner all ready to draft and was like what the hell. hope i didn't screw anything up.

Geez. Missed another draft. Had a hot date, slightly more important.

Yikes. Haven't seen my roster, but not having a QB drafted in the first 8 or so rounds hurts. Anyone have an extra QB for trade?

I should have let the computer do the drafting for me. Except for the QB position, Your team is pretty stacked.

I'm aware. I'm the one trading away Odell. It sucks to have to make that trade, but when Mitch Trubitski is your only QB in a 2 QB league, it's a trade I have to make. Trubitski isn't even a QB2 IMO. So although I'm giving up a top wideout, it's still a worthwhile trade for me, especially considering I was decently strong at WR.

In general I don't believe in trades being vetoed. As doing so can lead animosity between owners, unhappy owners, etc. Which is the apposite of what this league is all about.

Yet I went with my gut and vetoed the trade...for now. I'll give you 48 hrs, if no one makes you a better offer that's not so "questionable"...go ahead and agree on the trade and I'll let it go through.

As I mentioned...i don't want to do this and perhaps shouldn't. Yet I'm doing what I believe is best for the league.

why is everyone back on waivers? shouldn't they be FA after the initial waiver period?

IMHO...for ODB should be able to receive at least 2 - QB's (both being upgrades compared to current QB). Or a legit QB and a third tier RB/WR, etc. Which would allow you to trade that RB/WR for an additional QB.

I purposely set it this way. It allows each team an equal opportunity to acquire a player. Instead of player going to the owner with the quickest trigger finger. Or the owner who works at home and is able to check the waiver wire. Or even the owner who lives on the East Coast and therefore gets a 3 hour advantage compared to those in the West Coast.

Got this from ESPN -

Free Agent Auction (Continuous) - Teams will have a specific budget with which they can bid to make player acquisitions and all acquisitions will be done in batches one or more times each week (*as specified in the settings). If a team would like to add a player, that team will bid an amount they are willing to pay. On the next waiver process day, the team with the highest bid will be awarded the player, and the bid will be subtracted from that team's budget.

*Waiver Process Days and Time
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday at 11 AM

so there will never be actual free agents it will always be waivers all week. Never seen that before. No big deal just makes using the free agent budget a little more tricky

At the end of the day this method is used to even out the playing field in regards to waivers. It gives each owner an opportunity to obtain a player on waivers, instead of player going to the owner who spotted the player 1st. We all have different schedules, live in different time zones, etc. that affect when we are able to check the waiver wire. Now each owner has at least 24 hrs to check and submit a bid.

I get what you are saying but every or at least most leagues have waivers early in the week to prevent exactly what you're saying. I'm not complaining at all and it adds new strategy to the game ive just never seen a league with constant waivers

To be honest it's the 1st time for me as well. Let's try it out, and if it sucks...I should be able to change it.
