Pretty sure its real. Someone had it signed and authenticated. Not my cup of tea ,but someone was willing to spend 5 figures on it.

Its a older Kobe signature to ,so the it probably seemed like a good idea at the time. IP autographs have just always been a turnoff to me. Which is funny because I like retro buyback autographs certified through the card manufactors.

That pmg was sold by a member on here, raw unsigned, around a year ago.

The reason I thought it was fake was because psa labeled it as “trading card”, which I’ve only seen them do with non licensed or even reprint cards. Anyone know why they labeled it as trading card?

Ha, and here I thought I was the only one. I also think it looks really sharp. The signature turned out a lot better on that textured surface than I would've guessed.

It was juts graded this January according to the paperwork ,but that Kobe signature is 10+ years old. I wonder if it was a recently unearthed collection.

Found it on worthpoint. It sold for $1300ish before it got signed ,so looks like the seller still made out.

I've still not seen a PMG metal red/green reprint. The closest thing to one was a custom someone made a few years back ,but they didn't copy the original. It was just based off of it ,but it looked damn good. See if I can scrounge up a photo of it.

Can you show the entire card? At first glance it looks ok but no way I’d sign off on it without seeing several good pics of the entire card- front and back.

Have these cards been known to be faked?

The time has probably come for PMG green (may be red) reprint.
Penny exemple with 11 PMG Green Unfortunately, 2 only have a known back... :

1 - Nat Turner one of course (1) :

2 - The one sold on Ebay on 2014/12/19 (1) :

3 - Malone32 (Jordan fakes seller) had/has two (2) :

4 - One found on GoogleImages from nbacardDOTnet (1) :

5 - One just appeared on IG from ballofhistory(J. Park) (1) :

6 - The best for the end... : Five PMG Green published on Facebook Group (HotSpot) during 2015 March (5) :

Total count : 11 PMG Green ; with big doubts on this last picture of course... Some of them have probably already been sold, but it's pretty crazy to have seen almost all Penny PMG <= 10/100 !
If fake PMG haven't yet appeared, they'll be in more or less close future imo.

I would think the red/green PMGs would be harder to reprint because the front isn’t a smooth surface and has a little texture to it. It’s more likely the ones from the bankruptcy that weren’t stamped?

The one from nbacarddotnet and the recent one from IG look to be the same card looking at all the imperfections. Someone else double check me on that.

Many or some of these cards COULD be the same card(s). Without seeing the serial number, and even if they showed the serial number doesn't mean the picture was just taken. Could be old pictures, i'm sure some of these cards have transferred hands either through public auctions or private sellings.

Yea, without the backs you have to assume at least one of them are the same card.
