I admit I didn't see the Neshak coming...

I was the under bidder at $700. I would have gone to $750, but stopped paying attention as work got in the way again. I thought it was going to hit 900 for sure.

Does that mean Neshek potentially purchased 5k+ of his own card?
Otherwise, that's significant hobby/ttm love..

That makes Freddy Peralta the lowest print run for a RC in the set, and of course Neshek the highest PR for a common player.

Going forward, I wonder how many people will sell in big lots like this? Might be a good short-term investment when they appear.
The 2 ways to sell these cards....

Individually and Weekly Bundles

The partial sets you have to hope for multiple people looking for that exact partial set for it to do well. BUT.... after this weekend they might start to do a little better. All the new eyes on this set at The National... more people might be jumping on board and getting 1-18 or 1-24 might attract more attention.

I'm going to see the Dodgers vs Astros on Saturday. My friend's son is JD Davis. Hopefully I'll have a change to get a few Altuve cards signed. My friend told me Altuve usually only signs for kids so I'll have my kids work him over

If so, how did the centering look on your cards?

I just got mine yesterday, and was quite disappointed.
I rarely ask Topps for replacement on centering issues (last time I did was back in 2016 with a TBT set), but thinking I'm justified asking replacement on these...
Every single one of mine looked like this! I was so ticked. All 20 cards. Brutal. 90/10 should not be happening.

Castellanos and Markakis disappear from COMC. Curious if The National had anything to do with that. They were available for a while... and *POOF*

Wanted to get the Lindor LS signed by him at the show but he sold out all autograph tickets. I had a couple other items that meant more that I wanted him to sign instead.

Did have some luck yesterday... bought 8 LS and got a Mayumi! .

Nice!
Very jealous, hoping Lady Luck will help me land one on Saturday as well!

Can anyone recommend what type of pen/marker to use for this?

Fresh Blue Sharpie or Staedler (Topps uses Staedler for their autos)

Looks like I found it... it’s spelled “Staedtler” I believe. Thanks for the quick response!

Hard luck on the auto tickets, but a nice consolation prize for sure! Please post a photo when you redeem it.

Any idea if they’re regular card sized, 5x7” or 10x14”?

Edit: it looks very like the posters from the 80s wrapper set, which would make it 10x14” poster sized.

Man, that poster looks awesome!
Where did you get the picture from? Are you at the National?

Edit : Nevermind! Saw now that Topps had tweeted the pic.
