Seriously why are you still a member here? I hate iPhones but I don't go to the iPhone forums to tell everyone how crappy their phones are. None of this makes sense to me.

I like what I see so far, but the shipwreck coins are two of the most common coins on the market, you can buy Admiral Gardner and El Cazador coins for $10 each. Since they're long odds to hit you'd think they could have bought some Atocha or at least Consolacion coins.

Well each year they have 100 1888 ginter buybacks that you can buy for 5-10 dollars

They sell from 100-200 dollars

Would like to see some odds. Real curious about the numbering for the rip cards. If production is way up and still 2 per case will we see rip cards #/99?

That's what Jamie was saying ... rip cards #/99 would mean production is up 50%, which would be consistent with other 2018 products.

Are they doing Ginter X this year? Not doing a case of regular Ginter for the first time in years but thinking about picking up a 3-4 boxes of X.

I believe a few non-athletes showed off a photo of signing a black mini, which would mean X will be coming out.

I am with you on this year. Waiting patiently for X and not opening regular.

The first year we need to have a who's who of ginter autographs. That in itself tells you enough. If topps couldn't put journalists and comedians in the product they would have to cancel it.

The only thing worse than pulling one of these scrubs would be pulling it as a redemption.

Has there ever been a forced name change for a member on here before?

right on. The younger crowd has really never been exposed to a checklist like 2006 or 2009, so they don't actually know what "good" is.

I might even say 2012 was only 6 years ago, but topps would like to forget about that. Less framed relics cuts costs, less framed autographs cut costs, less live autographs cut costs, elimination of ginter code cuts costs.

...but by all means it is my fault that ginter isn't what it should be. Perhaps I'm old and crotchety, perhaps I'm bitter, perhaps I just like being the fly in the ointment....

..or perhaps I can see what topps has done to this product, which was one of the finest they put out during the year. This is just a shell of what it used to be. I'm sorry that others can't see that, but then again if you hand over your money before the checklist hits, you have lost all recourse right?

Relative to the current market, this is a good checklist. But relative to 2006, 2009, and 2012 ... you're absolutely, 100% correct.

Heritage king much better post

I have been saying it for 2-3 years.

Get rid of the 25 jersey cards per case

That’s 75000 jersey cards.

Nobody needs that. The cost has to be large

12 autos or more per case.

Or take money and pay more high end signers

I love the rips and red backs originals etc

So I just like it

Seems it would be simple to make it better

2017 was the worst autograph redemption fest ever

Odds are there is going to be 500 plus more cases

So those chasing autos are in for a bad time

You guys are hung up on autos while forgetting how much value there is in the rest of the case.
