That is the point. Maybe it’s Lebron or Wilt as the most physically capable players ever but Jordan had to learn to play with others and he did learn with the triangle, Magic, Bird, Kareem, Duncan, and Russell already knew how and Lebron has never learned how. It’s 1 on 5 pick and roll to pick and roll over and over.

It really is a testament to his skills that they have won as much as they have playing that way. It doesn’t work.

I honestly think lebron sees the narrative that is being put out by ESPN and by his nuthuggers. They both will love him and praise him even if he loses as long as he gets his, so he has come to the realization that he won't catch MJ in terms of winning, so his only shot at making it a debate is for him to get every stat possible, which takes having absolutely everything run through him. And while he gets every stat, yet still loses, his fans and ESPN will just say he doesn't have enough help. It's a win/win for him. Imagine just being able to go out and get your stats and not have to worry about getting blamed for anything. Must be nice. Jordan did that in the beginning of his career, but winning mattered more to him than stats and he learned to use a team approach instead of just going out and trying to win 1 on 5.

It is pretty crazy to me.

Only LeBron can beat a team 4-3 that lost their 2 best players and then climb the all.time greatest list. It's baffling.

Still waiting for this to be answered.

I discussed this with a friend of mine that's all in on LeBron. He came up with AD. And that's it.

Am I forgetting any others?

FTW, I don't believe LeBron is stat whoring. He is playing the best basketball he has ever played. However it is detrimental to his team, it will not help him beat the top 3 teams in the west, and should not be used as an argument for him being the greatest.

Seriously, without really nitpicking, James Harden's last 3 seasons numbers are right up there if not better than Jordan's final three seasons with the Bulls no? But who in their right mind would ever compare the two?

There's overwhelming negativity in this thread around King James.

He's a great basketball player and great American.

Baffles me how much time people have on their hands to talk shi* all day.

its because some people believe he is the greatest to ever play in the NBA, and that is not the case. So people butt heads

The debate is not whether he's great or not, it's whether he's the greatest or not. Majority of people respect what he's achieved but don't see it fit to call him the greatest yet.

The same thing can be said about Golden State losing at home to Cleveland the second time too though. They didn't go 4-1, but everybody stepping up to give Lebron help secured that win, and a hell of a shot from Kyrie in Stephs grill.

Didn’t have nearly the team KD does. Defenses can hone in on LeBron. And that just about washes everything out. Then again, I think stats only tell you so much.
But you're correct about the Warriors being better than the Cavs. So I guess this isn't really a fair comparison. When you take that into consideration you could argue that LeBron wins this matchup and should have been MVP despite the Cavs losing. Oh but wait, what about those 4th quarters when he decided he didn't want to play anymore. You're right again of course stats only tell you so much, especially when one player decides to disappear at the end of games where the outcome hadn't been decided.

Yep. If he joins CP3 and Harden next year, he may win a few more, but I'd feel bad for all of his fans that just love saying his teams are always crap without him. Wouldn't be able to say that anymore lol

Is LeBron really gonna leave CLE again? Man that is getting sad if so.

There's.plenty to build on there. Make subtle moves and they'll be fine.

That's what I'm thinking too. I don't know how it wouldn't hurt his legacy if he leaves again. Especially if it's to a place that already has most of the pieces they need, like Houston or even Philly. I would think it would be smartest, legacy wise, to stay in Cleveland and try to bring in some pieces. It will look a lot better if pieces come to Cleveland instead of lebron going to create another super team.

I just posted about Houston because I saw CP3 is already recruiting him to come there. (https://sports.yahoo.com/chris-paul-...210154387.html)

It has to hurt his legacy if he leaves.

I like Nance and Clarkson as pieces to build on. Got the 8th pick too..

I'm still waiting for the K. Love bashers to tell me who they'd wish they'd have instead of him for the past 3-4 seasons.

Why would it hurt his legacy? They gave Kyrie away for nothing, the 8th pick? Come on lets look at past 8th picks then

2013 Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
2012 Terrence Ross
2011 Brandon Knight
2010 Al-Farouq Aminu
2009 Jordan Hill Arizona
2008 Joe Alexander
2007 Brandan Wright
2006 Rudy Gay
2005 Channing Frye
2004 Rafael Araujo
2003 TJ Ford
2002 Chris Wilcox
2001 Sagana Diop
2000 Jamal Crawford
1999 Andre Miller
1998 Larry Hughes
1997 Adonal Foyle
1996 Kerry Kittles
1995 Shawn Respert
1994 Brian Grant
1993 Vin Baker
1992 Todd Day
1991 Mark Macon
1990 Bo Kimble
1989 Randy White
1988 Rex Chapman
1987 Olden Polynice

Spot the hall of famer / franchise player?

Kyrie was under contract they had no reason to give him away, they got duped into taking Isaiah (Small dog syndrome) Thomas and got lucky getting something at least tangible in return for his bloated corpse. I like Kevin Love, no blame there, Rodney Hood looks like a dear in the proverbial headlights, and Jordan Clarkson reminds me of Shawn Respert with Rajon Rondo's attitude.

I'd walk too.
