Default How do you truly "protect" your cards?

With most of us having thousands of dollars worth of stuff sitting in our homes, what do you do to "protect" your valuables? The word protect in this case would be protection from theft, fire, kids, pets or sunlight... anyway you wish to answer the question.

I'm looking for a new system and would love to see what others do to ensure their cards are in the safest spot possible.

I have a fire-proof lock box where all my most valuable cards go. Besides those, I put them all in organized plastic boxes that should at least protect against sunlight, dust, pets, and my nephew and nieces

A big fire and waterproof gunsafe that weighs a few hundred pounds on its own and can be secured to the wall/floor as well does a pretty good job. If you want to display so stuff can be seen all the time there's not a lot you can do besides the common sense stuff-doors,windows locked, make sure stuff is turned off/unplugged when on vacation. UV glass or holders.

Fire/water proof safe, surrounded by water with sharks with lasers on their heads.

I was going to say a gun as well, but a gun safe is always a good option. Costco has sales every once in awhile 1 more day left on this one.

I duct tape them to my walls. The duct tape is the best to use because its heavier and they wont crease them as bad. It works great to flatten the chrome cards too.

Seriously, I dont really protect anything besides my high dollar stuff. I have them in several of the sentry fireproof safes. The rest are in my closet in boxes and stuff which are in penny sleeves and toploaders of course.

I just put an angry picture of my mother-in-law near my cards. It's guaranteed to keep away any would be thief and/or serial toucher.
