I picked up 2 pre-sales for $9.96 dlvd...now just hope the seller comes through. I think the Throwback Thursday from last week has some potential as well, it has a clean design and limited print run of 1,720.

I think the lowest PRs for Ohtani so far are the TBT, Road to Opening Day Angels NOW set, and Moment of the Week gold "winner" card (current lowest I believe). The NOW card of the month will likely be him (specualtion) and that may be the lowest yet.

The Living card is live and pretty sweet looking. This card has the best eye appeal of anything printed to date IMO.

There is no longer an answer to the question of what is a player's "true" single Rookie Card. Just forget the idea, and buy the ones you like.

If his Series 2 card is the same as the Team Set card, then just the different card # on the Team Set card will erode the current value of it quite a bit.

The team set RC is a great looking card and might be difficult to gem too. The card is the last card in the packaging and moves around a lot with the weight of other cards pushing on it. Of the 5 sets I've broken, I didn't have a single one good enough to send in.

Agreed. I just bought 5 more factory sealed team sets a few days ago for around 8 bucks each. They keep going up, good luck trying to find them less than $15-$20 now.

it was readily available for $5 on ebay the week it was released.

cant see it tanking when it was $5

To me, the Mega Box are the long term sleepers.

They will always have a place in ShoTime lore.

I agree that there will always be good value associated with this card - however, like any Bowman prospect card, it is not a rookie card. But again, I agree that these will always hold an important place in Ohtani card lore.

I think this thread is great. On reading it I picked up a few Angels team sets. I did the same thing with the Yankees team sets last year, and will likewise put this away for a long time.

These prices dont make sense..I can see them fetching under the $5 you mentioned.. they arent SP and no one knows the print run, yet others are selling them by the 10s

The answer to OP question is easy. The 1st base set RC logo card Ohtani has in Series 2 or Update is the "Flagship" RC to have. It doesn't mean it will hold value or look best. But it is the "flagship" RC.

The RC to have can't be determined until all cards are out.

Lower than I was expecting. I never order things like this from Topps but I did jump on the 20 cards for $80 deal. I believe they were just delivered to my mail box two hours ago.
