Silver sticker auto fakes are so obvious that it really shouldn't be an issue.

I don't buy any 2011 Update on ebay unless its graded because of the fakes and reprints.

Here’s a winner. The unholy trifecta of forged autograph, wrong card stock, and heavy damage. Because if it’s damaged it must be real, right?

Does anyone know when these became so popular? They flood my searches and I don't remember them popping up a month ago

I’m surprised fakes of modern cards aren’t more prevalent. Hopefully graders are sophisticated enough to spot them bc once a psa or bgs example is shown to be fake all heck breaks loose

Love how the picture of the back of the (allegedly) same card has no crease.

Topps needs to be alerted to this. My guess is they will have pull with eBay to get these fakes taken off the platform.

Good grief, so would you be able to notice it being fake in person?

That's my question just from that picture I would never have known it was a reprint or the Auto was forged, at least the original lister was honest about the reprint and no authentication of the Auto.

Needless to say that's not a card I would consider after reading the description (Autograph not authenticated).

Exactly, and who is to say the person that buys the card doesn't turn around and sells it as "real"

Here's an unauthorized reprint (read: forgery) in a GMA Gem Mint 10 holder-

And here's another GMA-graded forgery from the same seller, fatboyjohns420, this time of Trout's 2011 Topps Update RC:

Considering someone bought a lot it makes me think they are going to be trying to sell them as real ones

The 2011 updates...

Those are the ones that really bother me, because the real card is still something I can afford and I've bought some, however I bought only graded because of these fakes. I dont know if I could spot a fake raw card.

Just curious if anyone has reached out to any of these sellers who have the Trout auto RP’s?

The frequency I’m seeing these is starting to bug me. It’s seems like a scam designed to take advantage of a certain unknowing segment of baseball card buyers.

This is gonna be a bigger problem soon if Topps / eBay doesn’t get on top of it

I have read some of the descriptions before, and they say essentially "great display item to show, that looks like the real, but is affordable".

So annoying.
