Recommendations sought on fire rated safes? Looking for one that holds c.12 guns but doesn't weigh a ton.

I don't have experience with multiple safes, so I'll refrain from making a brand recommendation. What I will do is offer some general advice. Buy the largest safe you can afford. Whatever size you think you need, go at least two sizes larger. You won't believe how fast those safes fill up.

Another thing to consider is how you gain access to the safe. I chose a dial over and electronic lock. The last thing I wanted to do was have to screw around with a dead battery or power source when I really need in the thing. Your preferences may vary.

I agree with the above points. Dial over code and go bigger than you think. I've found that most cases hold about half of what they advertise. If you want a 12 gun that's so small, I'd get 36 at least so you have some room.

Nice thing about dial as well is that you can leave it at the 2nd number so you only make one turn to open.

Good idea having so many Glocks. That way when it jams, you can throw it at the bad guy and grab the next one.

And I'm joking, I'm a Glock guy too, though not to that extent. Especially since here in CA you can only buy Gen 3's new. Or pay the ridiculous markup for off roster personal transfers.

Too... much.....polymer haha. Heck of an assortment of 17s and 19s though.

Do you have a similar assortment of several other Glocks as well or are those the only 2 you collect?

S&W Model 36 from the 60's I picked up at a gun show this morning. I've been dabbling in firearms long enough that my tastes are moving away from modern guns towards older iron, especially wheel guns. When I walked through the door, I saw this in the first five minutes I was there, and I knew it was coming home with me. The guy I bought it from had dozens of old wheel guns I would love to own. I'll catch him at the next show, and maybe I can ease his burden a little more. The next gun on my "Must Have" list is a 1903 Colt Pocket Hammerless.

Personally, I prefer single-action pistols, but that looks great!

Are you talking about single action revolvers? Dude I bought from today had some sweet second generation Colt Single Action Army revolvers in one of his cases. I would like to add one or two of those to the safe one day. I wasn't prepared to make that level of financial commitment today though.

Love single-action! Only have the Ruger Super Blackhawk and the old 357 MAG left for when I ever get around to going hunting again. Even the lever-action rifles are gone... Cowboy shoots were awfully fun, though!

Start small.. Get a Ruger Vaquero!

Kinda quiet in here, so I'm showing off my bullpup rifle collection. Favorite one to shoot is the AUG and Tavor. I would put the PS90 over the Tavor if the ammo for the PS90 were cheaper lol

Whenever I'm at a range, someone tries to buy this one from me. It's one of the few that survived my grandfather's incessant need to his trade guns and it's never being sold or traded.

Winchester Model 62A .22 rifle (1950)

maybe some of you peeps can help me. I bought a Walther Arms IWI Uzi .22LR a few months ago. It's pretty useless as far as practicality but I have a blast shooting it and it looks pretty cool too! It came with a 20 rd mag and I'm looking for another one. I've looked EVERYWHERE and can't find one. That model has been discontinued and the clip only fit the IWI Uzi. Any ideas where to look for one. I've tried cheaper than dirt, gunbrokers, and the Walther website to no avail. I've been able to find the 10 round mags but no 20's. Thanks in advance.

Very nice. I've yet to buy a bullpup yet the 2 i always eye are right here.

Ps90 and the Aug. Ps90 I had went to buy but the machining marks were piss poor. A buddy soon after got one in on trade and offered it to me but it also had subpar machine marks.

The Aug on the other hand I have a hard time spending the money on a 223. Ar style rifles are so cheap in comparison it makes it tough. Both kick ass bullpup though. Very nice!
