14 days until the Nats pitchers and catchers report to spring training. Will JT Realmuto join them? I hope so

Who would you be okay with trading for Realmuto?

Not Victor Robles. We can get so much more for him.

I'd prefer Fedde + Kieboom as centerpieces, but it would realistically be a Soto or possibly Michael A Taylor deal.

Kieboom and/or Fedde and some lower level guys would be best case scenario. Robles is untouchable and I would really rather them not trade Soto. I wanna see what he can do healthy for an extended period of time. But I have a good feeling about this season and I believe they get a deal done with Bryce way sooner then people think. Go Nats!

Hi,

My first post, figured I'd leave it in the Nationals thread. NoVA native and longtime DC resident. Diehard fan of all the home teams, sentimental casual fan of the Orioles, who we all grew up rooting for around here before the Nats.

I'm really curious to see how the outfield competition shakes out. Assuming we carry 5 guys and Kendrick has the 4th spot, the 5th spot is pretty intriguing. I imagine Robles goes to Syracuse to play every day, meaning it probably comes down to Goodwin or Stevenson. It was nice to see Goodwin back from the dead last year, but at this point he's 27 and what we see is probably what we're going to get. I think Stevenson has a real shot to make the Opening Day roster, although that could just be wishful thinking because I picked up a few of his autos in this year's flagship.

Was disappointed (but obviously not at all surprised) to see Koda Glover is already hurt again.

He was terrible when he was called up last year and I can't wait to see him go.

The kid only had 2 years of experience in the minors before he was forced into a MLB role due to injuries. He clearly wasn't ready. A full season in AAA in 2018 will be good for him.

I agree, but regardless, I don't see a long term position for him. Trade bait at best if he has a good AAA season.

His numbers last year were even worse than I actually remembered. But I am still holding out hope for a strong spring showing. I find myself rooting for the kid for some reason, maybe because I felt bad he got thrown into the fire last year. Whatever the case, here's hoping we don't need any kids to plug holes this season.

Nice, I'm looking forward to it. It'd be great to see a Max/Severino or Tanaka match up.
