Got two more coming on Wednesday from Panini. Think I’m going to have to bust those after getting paid on first 3.

How'd you get those two? Cancelled scenario? You definitely have to bust them!

We'll see how long the temptation to rip will last.

The upside of the contents is a lot higher (and more fun) then holding them sealed.

You and everybody else is holding them sealed. After the first 24 hours of the boxes being delivered eBay had more boxes for sale than Red Shimmers. That's sad considering the Shimmers are literally 2 a box.

As long as people hold these sealed, the price will never jump up high enough to justify not busting. There are more FOTL Prizm boxes for sale on eBay then any other card release I've ever seen. These are such longtail items it really doesn't make any sense to hold. You can have an absolutely awful break and nickel and dime your way back to even. A Tatum Silver will cover the profit from selling, and you have roughly a 4% shot at that card.

Wax boxes sell through eBay at a 1-2% clip.

Unless you can move these locally to an LCS for cash, bust the boxes. Or wait years to be the last person standing, and risk enormous downside.

Dang, lucky duck.

How did you make out on you're first 3?

Sold off eBay for $930 to eliminate eBay fees and any headaches that come with poor buyers on eBay. Glad thats the route I went as I could ship all 3 boxes at the same time too.

Just sold two boxes for $725 direct. Made the other 3 boxes I busted basically free. (Thank goodness for that, too. They weren't super hot.)

Nice! And congratulations on your off eBay sale. So basically, you've made ~$300 profit already and have 2 "free" boxes to bust. Can't beat that!

Where are the hoards of sealed boxes on ebay you speak of?

I counted 44 total boxes just now when I checked. Offers on the 2 I had listed have been pretty constant around $350.

At what price would you be able to justify not ripping?

Where are all of you selling your boxes? EBay? LCS? Secret thread with coded words so you don't get banned?

Just wondering.

Find any other set that has 44 boxes available, and these aren't even in the hands of everybody who purchased yet.

44 boxes of any set is a TON of boxes and a TON of sellers selling the same item on eBay. Think of how many people just put them away and didn't bother to list.

There's a single box of 12/13 on eBay that won't move for a smidge over $400. Boxes are a tough sell man and it takes them being truly rare to command a premium, and even then you may not have a buyer.

I'm not saying people can't move these, but around $350 seems too low considering what is inside and the upside.

I'm speaking as somebody who has no boxes so I don't have a dog in the hunt. But to move on eBay and clear roughly a $200 profit doesn't seem like enough considering the upside if I were to open, and close to no downside (taking a loss).

If someone had a box available, what might you be willing to pay?

You did better than ok.

2017 Panini Prizm Basketball Donovan Mitchell Rookie! Silver! Jazz! Hot!

That Duncan is just more gravy on the turkey.

* Just looked at you're break. Fox Hyper, Isaac Hyper Lottery, Bell Auto, Duncan Shimmer /8, and Mitchell Silver Prizm. Killed it.
