lol. you must be naive to think there isn't manipulation going on. I love bitcoin, but there is always "shady" stuff happening since the market is unregulated. Just comes with the territory.

I don't feel like googling, but the first "bot" that comes to mind in regards to bitcoin and manipulation is the "willy bot" back in the MtGox days. And I've read stories (I think on reddit) of either people or bots or both manipulating the prices on lower volume exchanges to their benefit.
