Stands to reason that the MLBPA was delaying the posting rules until the Braves situation was resolved. Keep getting extensions until they can work out a new deal.

Source: Tentative agreement reached among NPB, MLB, Players Association on posting system to cover this offseason, then 3-yr deal moving forward. going to be 10 days until owners ratify, earliest Ohtani posted next Friday. MLB owners must ratify next Friday, so if that happens Ohtani likely to be posted next Fri or Saturday.

It's crazy what people are paying for these. A couple months after his first MLB cards come out, the base mojos will be $10-$20 each. I learned this the hard way with Darvish. Still sitting on about 100 Darvish Bowman/Chrome WBC cards that dropped about 80% once his Texas Rangers cards hit the market. Luckily I sold enough before they came out to come out ahead. Just didn't foresee the huge drop that would come after his MLB releases.

The hype will be huge during spring training and into the beginning of the season and he will only have the one card. Just need to sell before his next cards come out. His first Yankee card will be huge!

That's 5 months away- Bellinger was in Topps Chrome and was an April Call-up (~3 Months).

These will rise until we get into 2018.....especially once he signs. They may go close to 2 hundo for base, depending on team he signs with.

His chrome that's out now will definitely be the best rookie card just because of how rare it is only found in mega boxes only at target, unlike other years darvish Tanaka were plentiful

His first MLB card will be Topps Now. It will print 4,000 copies and you'll be able to buy them on eBay for $6 each all the way through Spring Training.

I have several Refractors and numbered Darvish WBC cards that are much more rare than the Mega box Otanis. The selling prices on those dropped 75 to 80% when his rookie cards came out. It's just a fact that collectors prefer the MLB cards. The mega box Otanis will see a spike when he signs, but after that, it's a game of hot potato before his RCs flood the market(and you know Topps will make about 200 different sets to capitalize).

when is he expected to sign?

what do you think would be the price difference if he signs for the Yankees? Rangers?

current raw price is lets say $100 what could it be when he signs with the Yankees or Rangers?

I think they could hit $150-200 around spring training time IF he signs with the Yankees and like $120-150 if he signs for just about any other team.
