So are the /8 Shimmers inserted into the packs, or are they packed out separately? Wondering how much different this is than what Blowout is selling for pre-order for $3k a case.

Nike has had these same exact problems with their sneaker releases for years. They just recently (6 months ago) announced changing their system to support the traffic they get on Saturdays.

Panini has never had this problem. Should they have anticipated it? Sure, and perhaps they did but never having had to address this issue didn't know a viable solution. Perhaps they fix it in the future, although I don't deem it necessary because this will be a once or twice a year thing with them (assuming they continue the FOTL program moving forward).

FWIW it wasn't a nightmare for me, and I tried just as much as everyone and will probably have my order cut. I'd do it again, because it was funny watching it go down on the forums and on twitter.

You said earlier that people complain are the worst. If people don't complain changes may not get made. The fix is simple. Don't release the time when they will go live.

If everyone knew this was going to happen, they should have too. You talk to your IT people and see if you can handle the traffic. If you aren't sure, make an adjustment.

I am willing to bet you are in the minority in thinking this was funny. It was frustrating.

I tried for 3 hours and still have no idea what I am going to get. I have an email confirmation for 2, an order that says processing for 1, and been charged for 6. I was charged for 8 but refunded $240. Does that mean that for some crazy reason they canceled my order for 2 that I got an email for but isn't in the ordering system?

I chose to order these for 3 hours, that is on me, but to say I am happy about my buying experience would be untrue. Not only was trying to purchase the item frustrating, I know I am probably going to be spending time trying to sort out getting my money back, etc.

I couldn't get past the shipping address page. Kept timing out. I probably clicked on proceed to checkout a couple hundred times. Had to reload the pages over and over. But couldn't complete the deal. I was kind of looking forward to getting a bunch of boxes but oh well. I see some guy is already trying to sell one on eBay for $500. I believe that guy is a scammer also, Childish Gambino...so be forewarned

Seems more people had success with the app. I think people using the app and website under the same account probably caused issues too.

I can agree with everything you said actually.

I'm waiting on the order confirmation as well for the 2 I got through and purchased. I anticipate my orders being cancelled.

They should have never released when these would be available, but they were trying to drive traffic.

I still hold on my comment that people who complain are the worst. Especially the foul language at a company on Twitter. It's just dumb.

So would I actually, but these FOTL boxes are supposed to be loaded compared to the regular release. So if I end up opening 3, I should get:

6 Red Shimmers
6 autos
10 inserts

I was able to get 6 thru the website and got an email from Panini that the order went through. I won't celebrate anything until I have these in hand as we all know Panini
