I kinda like no logos when its of a player who got traded. I don't really want Astros logos in my Blue Jay PC so this works out nicely.

It's not just the photos of the player, although looking through a set where hundreds of players are conspicuously cropped, turned, have their caps on backwards, are hatless, or are just flat airbrushed tends to bother me. But not being able to use the logo in design, or reference a team name, that's the real issue.

On the other hand, T206 got away with it and that set is pretty popular.

I like how Panini does the College Baseball Unis, so I buy into those all the time. Other then that. I try to keep the unlicensed no logo what-so-ever cards to autos and /50 or less and I usually have to hold for a while and unload them when the player is hot. Bellinger elite autos made me some good money. Hoping the same for the Vladdy Jr's, Senzels, Trammells, Acunas, etc that I've picked up on the cheap side.

It has to be a really special card. Something with a gorgeous patch or a 1/1 or something. Some of them have real eye appeal. Like the cleat / hat logo cards out of immaculate. Or some of the nicer cards out of diamond kings.

I love them. The signature on an unlicensed card is the same signature that is on a Topps card. I'll gladly take a cheaper option from time to time.

And a lot of these Panini cards still have patches, nice ones too, that actually ARE the team logo so that helps add some team relevance to the card as well.

Catcher cards are the best IMO, the gear covers the lack of logos up and still showcases the player very well.

Trash these releases all you want, but I'm opening Diamond Kings and NT every year!

Unlicensed cards are really cool. Diamond Kings and Optic are nice baseball releases. Hits Memorabilia makes some really nice cards as well. Their design has been getting better and better.

Don't really collect unlicensed cards but I picked up this 1/1 because it's still a great looking card and not overly obvious that there's no logos:

I still have no idea how Donruss/Panini stay in business in baseball. Who buys this stuff? To me it just makes absolutely no sense and I feel like I am buying a worthless bootleg product... Never.... Hate is putting it mildly...

What about unlicensed cards that do have logos?

great quetion, Mousch.
It makes a huge difference for me. Catchers from Prizm and immaculate fit right into my collection. that's about it. If I can see the players whole nameplate on the back of the jersey (a la altuve prizm 2013) then I'm all in as well.
these are the only cases I can think of that I actually try to own cards with no logos...

I was a big fan of Donruss growing up, and I have made most of the Rockies season and career stat line team sets from 2001-2005 Donruss. So when Panini brought back the product in 2014 and the season and career stat lines naturally I continued my collections. It's a fun chase regardless of logos or not.

Do you still dislike the card, or does that help it at all from a collectible perspective for your personal collection?
I still hate them because I'm a set collector. Far too many with the tight cropping or same pose to hide the logos. The city name and not the team name is annoying also.
