Trea Turner he can take over a game in more than one way. Could easily win a series MVP.

Here are the guys I think could get a nice postseason bump.

Yankees - I'd guess a player like Bird could see a nice jump if he were to hit a key HR or two. Maybe Severino if the Yanks make a deep run and he does well. Judge everyone already knows, so unless he does something insane I doubt he gets a playoff bump.

Red Sox - I'd say a guy like Devers has the chance or maybe a guy like ERod if they were to make a run and he pitches well. Same with Judge a guy like Benintendi or Betts would have to do something crazy.

Twins - IF they can win, maybe a guy like Rosario gets a big bump with a good series, if they were to get past NY. He's quietly had a great year, and I'd guess is relatively unknown. Sano perhaps if he goes off and hits a number of HRs.

Astros - Again, most are familiar with Altuve, but Correa, Springer, Bregman are all guys I could see getting a bump. Especially if they go deep in the playoffs.

Indians - I think it's Lindor and Jose Ramirez. Actually I think Ramirez is the most likely to get a bump this postseason. One or the best players in MLB, and relatively unknown. Also I expect the Indians to make a deep run, giving him more time to shine.

Nationals - I would guess Turner and Rendon. Or maybe Taylor or Robles if he's on the roster.

Rockies - I don't think will be around long, but it they get in, Arenado and Blackmon for sure. Maybe Story as he hits Greinke well, and could possibly make a difference in the WC game.

Arizona - JD Martinez. He has been a stud since coming over to the NL, and is definitely a guy I could see hitting a number of playoff HRs.

Dodgers - is there room for Bellinger? I am not sure, but I think maybe a tad as his great year was over shadowed by Judge. Seager as well.

Cubs - Not sure since there WS win last year. Maybe a guy like Contreras? Or possibly Happ.

Of course, as TGutta mentioned anyone can have a big game and get a temporary bump. Santana beats the Yanks, he may get a few day bump. Utley gets a GW World Series hit, same thing, but theyll be temporary

Those mentioned above I think have the best shot at a sustained bump with a great playoff run.

Everyone's pretty much been covered. I'll say that Yanks players have the highest risk/reward scenario, especially being that it's a one and done scenario.

I'm excited to see which of these young players will rise to the occasion. Have a feeling there will be an unsung hero or two that nobody saw coming.

Everyone take a minute and look at all the names mentioned so far and then think about the average age of these players. These are great days for MLB and even greater days are ahead!

If so, I wonder how his steroid suspension would factor into it. Being that he's already on a small market team, I don't know high his prices would go. Which is fine with me because I need to get more Eddie cards

Doubt the suspension would be much of a factor as that was way back in 2014. But he'll probs stay low because of the Twins

I think the teams not in the 1-game playoff matches technically have the best chances of winning the WS...and according to regular season records the Yanks are the 8th-best team in the playoffs.

It won't be Bryant. He is on the down side of his career. He might get a few hits.

If the dodgers win kershaw will cement himself as an all timer, also Harper and strasburg. In the AL I'll say Lindor and kluber

Arenado, Blackmon, Bellinger, Goldschmidt, JD Martinez.

Anyone can benefit from strong playoff performances, but the guys who have the greatest opportunity are the guys who are already playing at superstar level but don't get the attention they deserve because they play out west in mountain and pacific time zones. A deep playoff run for any of their teams will give them a chance to get some time on the national stage.

Martinez is a good one.

As good as Martinez was with Arizona, it's still Arizona. Look at Goldschmidt's stuff, ya know? If they can play a series or two and he gets enough national exposure (and hits, of course), he's a really good choice.

I said good a lot in this post.

Unless there are no hitters, perfect games or a Bumgarner repeat from a few years back I don't really see any pitcher moving as much as a hitter can.
