Default How to determine value using sold items eBay

How do you determine which ones actually sold? They are all green? If they are green does that mean that they have sold? I've never sold a card out of my collection, but I think I'm ready to start selling a few. I would like to know how to come up with reasonable prices for me and the buyer. thanks

Filter on sold listings instead of completed listings.

Okay so when I filter to sold items it still seems that some are in green for outrageous prices?

If the card has been accepted for a best offer price, you need to put the item # in watchcount.com to get the actual sold price.

So if you see best offer accepted, but it shows $300 (that was the original listing price), put the item number in watchcount and it will show you the accepted price in which it actually sold

One thing to note. When an offer is accepted via messages (not referring to the standard BINs or BO), the sold listing shows up as the full BIN price. E.g. A card listed for $100 BIN. Seller and buyer agree to an offer price via messages of $50. It shows up as sold for $100 in the search. I noticed that on a card I purchased.

How does something like this work? I've never sold anything where it was negotiated in message. Usually straight BIN or normal B/O. Wouldn't you have to change it to B/O or lower the price to sell it at anything other than list? Genuinely curious

I believe they're talking about when you use the "make an offer" button in the messages.

For example: Someone asks me what I will take for item X through a message. I can respond with an offer, which they can then accept or counter, etc.

I think those can show up as full price sales, even if they weren't. They still haven't fixed all the kinks in that option

Excellent. Thank you. I had no idea this was even an option.

Make sure you keep in mind that a 'sold' listing does not always mean a 'paid & shipped & delivered' listing. There are so many items relisted you really have to do extra searching to see if things are legit. And of course you never see 2nd Chance Offers.

I think people intentionally manipulate 'market prices' with completed auctions more than is realized. Then, sometimes I'm sure it's just sellers getting very unlucky with NPBs. The 2017 Museum Paul Goldschmidt Logoman 1/1 has 'sold' 2 or 3 times, and is relisted again now.
