Default Bought Topps Now Golden Ticket for 9/03 (Bellinger 35th HR), Seller then Cancelled

Hi I know I'm a new user here but I'm bummed out about what just happened to me on eBay today. I was keeping an eye on the Topps Now Golden Ticket for tomorrow 9/03, and when Bellinger hit the homer to tie Mike Piazza's rookie record earlier today, I purchased the Buy it Now price of $400, knowing there would be a card for that achievement tomorrow. But here's the kicker - the Dodgers play another game today in the night, and starting for the Padres is a righty reliever, so I thought Bellinger had a great chance to break the record and if he did it, the card produced tomorrow instead would be the record breaking one. The seller cancelled the transaction an hour ago citing 'Damaged or Out of Stock.', which I highly doubt since she sold the same ticket a couple days ago but relisted. Only thing I can do is leave a negative, but I have to wait 7 days (ebay policy I guess?). So yeah I'm pretty bummed, and hope Bellinger doesn't get that record breaking homer tonight....

That stinks, but if it is the one with tomorrow's date on it (9/3), then it would be for the cards released on Monday for the events that happened on 9/3.

He saved you $400.

Don't you want the Sept 2nd card.

Tomorrows cards will be for 9/02

Oh I was under the impression it was for cards tomorrow judging by the wording on it - 'Produced on the following date'? I guess not, then. I feel better now. eBay name is milne7257

I'm not 100% sure... gotta get joejoemay or anyone who has redeemed one in here to know for sure. But I think the 9/03 card is for Sunday's Games... those cards will be made on Monday.

I also saw on the Topps site blog, (https://www.topps.com/blog/topps-now-golden-ticket/) it has this wording:

'Each unique ticket is good for every MLB Topps Now base card produced on the specific date on the card. Example: If you pull a Topps Now Golden Ticket with the date April 25, 2017 printed on it, you will get every base card made on that specific date with a special Topps Now Golden Ticket stamp printed on the cards, indicating it's a one-of-a-kind.'

Yeah it'd be great to get confirmation from those who have redeemed

Okay I did a quick post search and came up with this from the joejoe guy:

joejoemay:
The day that is marked on the card. So it could be one or the other or both depending on when the game ended or event happened. Typically it is the day before the cards go on sale. So May 9th's Golden Tickets where the cards that sold on the 10th but the events happened on the 9th.

So it is the cards produced after. Guess I gotta hope now that if Bellinger doesn't get it today, he doesn't get it tomorrow either lol

If anyone owns a Golden Ticket, they will receive the cards of the games played on the date of that ticket, which the "base" go on sale the day following the date on the ticket.

So if the ticket is for 9/3, you will get the cards that go on sale during the afternoon of 9/4. If a west coast game finishes after midnight Pacific time, the card should be issued based on the game date matching the ticket.

The TN team goes over the games and issuance merit, review the photos of which they have rights, get MLB Player Union clearance overnight and release morning, and when all that magic comes together you know in the early afternoon of the day following the ticket date which cards you will get.

I bought a Golden Ticket for my birthday, and Francisco Lindor had a walk off that night. So sure enough, the next day I found that was one of the cards I would get.

Good luck!

The record breaker was today. Let's see if the Golden Ticket is relisted.
