And by that, I mean someone who hawks their own autograph at every show, store, venue, etc. possible. Crazy inscriptions too. If OJ came out and said basically that he owes the Goldmans millions and he's going to sign and do whatever it takes to pay them off.
At that point, would you get his autograph then? |

Pete Rose never committed double homicide.

Pete Rose could inscribe - "I know who killed Nicole Brown Simpson" and OJ could inscribe - "At least I'm in the HOF."

It was bad....for Ray Fosse. He fractured his shoulder in the collision. All star games are not what they used to be.

Since Simpson would have to hand over any money he makes from signing unless he would do it as a PR stunt there is nothing in it money wise for him so makes little sense for him to sign auto's for cash.

I could use an OJ USC autograph. I do have one with the Bills, a Ron Mix Postcard. I would not assume there is no market as the OP seems to suggest. He was a Heisman winner and a HOFer, plenty of collectors.
If anything, the adding the Goldmans into it, might turn more people off.

OJ can't/won't do it because he still owes the Brown and Goldman families $33 million from the civil trial. Anything he makes going forward would have to go towards paying that down. Plus, I read he gets $25k a MONTH from his NFL pension (which cannot be touched for the civil verdict), so it's not like he is going to be destitute.

To get a garnishment order they would have to go to court, not something that is really possible on a weekend deal. Simply not enough time. Now if he signed a longterm UDA like contract, that's another story.
Also, I know the Goldmans claim they haven't gotten a penny, but we know that isn't true. For example, they did get the rights to his "If I Did It" book, which they did sell.

Also they said they have never got a penny from him as he has never given them any money personally. Anything they have got had to be taken from him through the courts. |

If it was advertised well in a month advanced and if the courts rushed it through, then it would be possible. That's adding several ifs. From my own experience on such, I am not sure it is really feasible. They will/would have to get a different order for each show/signing. The order has to renewed every few weeks. (Time I would imagine is different in different states). None of this as easy as it sounds and the cost may be more then they would recover. Like I said, its not really feasible. I will add, in my opinion.
We have repeatedly been told he owes $33 million and hasn't paid a penny. That's more where my comment was. We don't know what exactly he owes now, and as long as the family keeps this 'hasn't paid a penny' story, I don't find them trustworthy on such.
