If only I started Folty... I was planning on starting Cotton last night and his start got pushed back leading me to have to start Gausman and Cobb; both are going up against each other. I hate doing that. My only hope is another duel like Folty and Gray the other night.

On a side note, I picked up some nice Paul DeJong and Luke Weaver cards today at the card show; both of which are on my time

Speaking of prospect rosters, we're getting pretty close to the midseason prospect draft, so the draft order is going to be set very soon. I'll get the final reminders for everyone to adjust their prospect rosters as they wish tomorrow. We'll probably start the draft on the 12th or 13th (next Wednesday or Thursday) in case people have plans for All-Star festivities, but our rule was that everything must be locked in 1 week before the draft starts, so we're getting really close

Ok, I'll PM everyone this, but here's everything you need to know for the midseason prospect draft:

Start date: Thursday, July 13th

The draft will be held in our thread in the fantasy section. To make a pick, just leave the name and position of the player you are selecting, and then PM the person with the pick after you

Only teams with open roster slots on their prospect rosters will receive draft picks. As of now, that includes Cornerstore (1), Dbacks (1), Firerunner (1), Hollywood (2), Sportscards515 (2), and todderfield (1). Teams have until midnight (central time) this Wednesday night to drop additional players from their prospect rosters. Current rosters can be viewed here. To drop a player, post in our thread who you want to drop and I'll edit the sheet accordingly. After midnight on Wednesday passes, the draft order will be set in stone (I'll post the order in our thread). It'll be a snake draft, starting in reverse order of current standings in our league

Remember that all players are eligible to be drafted, regardless if they are signed by a MLB team. The only eligibility rules to remember are:

1. All players must have no more than 130 MLB at-bats, and no more than 50 MLB innings pitched

2. If there is someone currently on a team's roster in our league, they must be dropped before Wednesday at midnight and go unclaimed through waivers to be eligible to be picked in the draft. This is to prevent a loophole that would allow a team to drop a prospect from their major league roster and immediately draft them onto their prospect roster, essentially demoting them

Obviously, any player that is already on a major league or prospect roster cannot be drafted, so please check everyone's rosters before submitting your pick

I'm real excited to see Luke Weaver again in the bigs. He will start in the bullpen, but I'm hoping the Cardinals give him another shot as a starter sooner than later. He was killing it in AAA.

Danny Duffy is finally back from the DL! That's huge for my team. I have managed to go 4-1 in his absence, but there's a huge difference to my SP staff with/without Duffy

This week is wonderful. starting to have my team again... Freeman back today, gray back last week, Britton back soon, starlin castro is running, and salazar is making a rehab start thursday and starling marte is back July 18th... WOOO WOO I may have some flexability again soon..


On a side note - could move either Robles + honeywell or Roders + honeywell for current starting pitching - would need a solid starter for 2 good specs

Nick williams (prospect roster) was also recently promoted. Holding on to him to see how he does before i pull him up but could look to move him for a higher ceiling spec if you want a lottery ticket OF whos playing now

It's been a fantastic week for me so far, I'm at 361 points after 7 days, but still 3 more to go with the AS break coming. This'll be the 3rd week in a row I end with over 300 points, so it's good to see my team clicking. Aaron Nola has really come on of late. Time to take a few days off to enjoy the AS festivities and do our midseason draft, then hopefully come back next week to finish off another W
