Two breath taking cards! And my favorite way to put 1/1 on a card "the only 1 of 1 masterpiece edition". So Awesome!!!

Default 1997 Donruss Limited Star Factor

1997 Donruss Limited Star Factors are great. But these are not technically inserts, correct? More like a subset in the main set if I am not mistaken. Is this something you guys/gals would like to see in modern releases? Instead of non-serial numbered variations and short prints (which Topps does all of the time), why not just have a selection of cards with a common theme that are serial numbered, but still part of the base set? If Topps is doing something like this these days in any of its sets, please let me know. Seems like all of the serial-numbered cards are either parallels or inserts these days.

As an aside, I've included some recent 1990 inserts in my latest recap video:

The Star Factors are just part of the base set and where seeded higher but are still common, kind of like the pattern for 96-97 first Bronze, Silver, Gold. The Limited Exposures are an insert though and not numbered with a stated print run of 40.

Haven't updated with any of my pickups in almost a year. Nothing major, but here are a few

And you don't know how hard it is to find this card unless you're a Thomas collector

Probably closer to 100-125. Baseball was in higher production than basketball. Collectors of this set have hoarded on 3 sports for so long they seem to be in lower print.
