Recently inherited my dad's "collection," which for baseball mostly means worthless penny rookie cards. But he does have nearly a full set of these 1978 Saga discs. Only missing 3 from a full set, with seven doubles. What kind of value do these have? Is it worth time trying to complete the set and then selling, or can I get a decent amount piecing them out? And does anyone know a good way to store them? Recent ebay auctions only show a GEM 10 Munson and a lot of 4 that went for 32 bucks, but aside from that, I haven't found much info, besides that they were pretty rare to find compared to similar promotional products from the time.
Thanks |

Before Ebay these were very rare. The 1977's were tougher, but both were seldom seen. I used to store these in 6 pocket pages but if you can't find those I believe 4 pocket are roomy enough.
I don't think the set would bring a premium but if it's easily completed it might be worth a shot moving in one lot. Another option might be to check the PSA player set registry to see if you could get some good grades that might fill in some sets. Very cool find!! |

Thanks for the help! I have spent the last couple days browsing around and the set is looking more difficult to complete than it will be worth, and although most aren't in great shape, a couple look like they would grade at at least an 8 (not a grading expert by any means). Might have to throw them up for sale once I do some more research.
