Win or lose, I love my team. Tough loss tonight and much tougher loss on Sunday, but I believe in our guys and I love what Pop is saying. Jonathon Simmons has a ton of talent and heart. Rookies are playing hard, even in garbage time. San Antonio has incredible fans and game 3 will be a different story. I'm looking forward to it.

Side note - This is the first time I've seen Patrick McCaw play and man, if he doesn't remind me of a rookie Penny Hardaway. 6'7, lengthy but strong, nice handles, some flashy yet accurate passing, smooth stroke... Watch out for that kid.

Is it that wrong to compare Kawhi to LeBron? Spurs looked lost without him.

I've been struck by how easily the Spurs fans on this thread have fallen into the "we lost Game 1 because Kawhi got hurt and Zaza is a jerk" meme.

The Spurs had a 23 point lead with less than 20 minutes left in the game. Even with Kawhi getting hurt, they still should have held on and won Game 1.

After all, they managed to destroy the Rockets in Houston by 30+ points without Kawhi....so it's not like they can't play defense without him.

Pop summed it up regarding Game 2, they went out there with no belief, excluding Simmons.

Ha ha, what a ludicrous thing to say.

Being able to plan for that kind of thing makes a huge difference. Plus, nobody expected SA to win like that.

And, if you truly know GS, a 20 point lead is nothing to them. With or without Kawhi they would have made a run. Steph already had them on his back and was making it.

Sure, we can all say you should never lose a 20 point lead. But on the road in a western conf finals, it literally happens all of the time.

What if they pulled him after stepping on Lee? If the Spurs controlled how he left the game I think they could have hung on. The shock/surprise of how he left the court played a big part in that lead disappearing to me. Not that you can plan for it or anticipate that happening.

There is absolutely no reason any coach would sub Kawhi out. It was the 3rd, not the 4th qtr.

And Steph was making a move. Kawhi was the guy that kept scoring at will for us. And he was making KD look pedestrian.

You reckon? I guess I never saw it like that, I thought Pop should have, given all the circumstances. Hope he's back for Game 3 although there's no guarantee by the sounds.

The game also showed how overrated Harden and the Rockets are. Getting blown out by a Kawhi less Spurs team by 20+ points at home is not MVP like!

Moreover I don't feel pity anymore for Kawhi and SA because of what Aldridge did to Durant. He clearly wanted him to get injured. Worse situation as with Zaza!

Makes the MVP decision interesting, should have been announced before the playoffs.

Aldridge probably felt he needed to make am impact in the game somehow. It's unfortunate if he felt the need to retaliate that way...

He's someone who could have controlled the offense, apparently no one else could.

What happened?

Unfortunately I didn't get to see a minute of todays game.

I was wondering if there would be some chippiness. The Spurs are classy, but they're not perfect.

This is so true. I was a believer in Memphis that year. Up 2-1 on GS but Money Mike was done. A damned shame as I think that team has run its course unless they retool.

But elee is right, we nobody should be wishing injury on anybody, oh sorry, Za Za doesn't count. Get that Gypsy out of here.

I know spurs fans are down, but KL has until Saturday to get better. He will likely play.

This is a team that got blown out at home in game 1 against Houston, then dominated the series. Pop will make adjustments, and maybe Lamarcus Aldridge might step up.

That being said, if the Spurs can't win Saturday, the series is over.

KD shot a 3 and Aldridge did like a double step to get under him

And Durant did land on his foot. Thankfully he didn't turn his ankle, but that was messed up from Aldridge. Such a low move.

I see nothing wrong with it! Zaza wants to do it.... LA can too!

classless pathetic warriors. Cheap way to win / steal a series. getting BLASTED AT HOME and definitely would've went down 1-0 if Kawhi wasn't cheaply injured..

but that's the "Warriors way"... Win only due to injuries and by default! Seems like that's the only way they run through the playoffs.

Still grasping for anything to deflect from the main point. A verified goon changed the series. Why do you feel the need to reach for anything to excuse that feeling of fairness and sportsmanship? If it happened to Durant, Curry, Klay or Green, you'd be barking like those sea lions over there......

Continuing to ignore the many examples of ZaZa playing dirty his whole career. The DIRECT examples of him trying to hurt players on THIS team. Finally succeeded. Instead, so it doesn't diminish your fan sensitivities, finding some way to make indirect correlations using Bowen, Pop and now Aldridge? We can play what ifs and should haves but just take the advantage that was created and move on. Not like it was the first time.

Spurs gotta pull it together for game 3. Just hope the team is ready for it. Team was understandably deflated. Reminded me of .4 when they came back and Devin Brown was the only player to show up.

I can hear the crying and see the tears, lmao. Buwahahaha. Spurs fans need to act like adults and get over it already. Sh!t happens, get over it. Hate to think how some of you will react when your kids get cut, lol. It will be the Warriors fault.
