Cavs defense just as elite as the Spurs? I am with you on a lot if that post but this is just flat out wrong. Cavs Achilles heal is their defense.

Game 1 really reinforced what we already knew about the Warriors in my opinion.

When they want to, they are easily the best team in the league. Yes it was without Kawhi, but GSW still locked down BIG time and then made a massive run to get back in it.

On the other hand that lack of focus and mental toughness is what cost them the championship last year. So basically we are right back to where we were.

A massively talented, well put together team that can dominate on both ends but still has a big question mark in mental toughness.

No, the Rockets aren't the Warriors. Well, the Jazz aren't the Spurs.

Win or lose, Spurs are gonna put up a fight. I've got Spurs in 6 but at the very least, they'll win 2 games in this series.
No one said the Spurs wouldn't put up a fight! I know they will

Spurs definitely in 3 now.

It's easy to lock down Patty Mills, Danny Green, an old and pretty much useless Gasol, manu, and a bunch of other guys who wouldn't start for any other team in the league.

The spurs have 1 weapon without Kawhi and that's Aldridge.

The Warriors absolutely crumbled under the pressure yesterday. You can say whatever you want about the comeback but it was totally fraudulent. If Kawhi stays in the game the Warriors lose by 15+ at home.

Klay was absolutely non-existent and has been the entire playoffs. It's obvious that he's the odd man out with Durant out there and he seems to have lost all of his confidence.

Everybody was talking about how great Javale has been but look who he was good against, a Portland team who didn't deserve to be in the playoffs with no big man and Utah for 1 game in garbage time.

Zaza is pathetic, he's a bumbling mess on the court and just isn't good at all. Anyone saying that Zaza and McGee make up for Bogut has no idea what they're talking about or is just a homer. You saw what LeBron and Kyrie did in the paint last year after he went down.

I'm much more confident about this year's finals than I was last year. Personally, I think the Cavs are going to win in 6. LeBron is absolutely unstoppable right now and the Warriors have no rim protection (of course the homers will cite some bogus leading the league in blocks stat with no regard to context).

Relish this win while you can Warriors fans because even though you won't admit it you've been incredibly lucky with injuries and the finals won't be all sunshine and rainbows. In the mean time please keep telling everyone how they're going to roll the Cavs in the finals LOL

You're hallucinating if you think the Cavs can play defense at anywhere close to the same level as either the Spurs or the Warriors.

Opponents FG% - Warriors 1st, Spurs 4th, Cavs 16th
Opponents 3-pt FG% - Warriors 1st, Spurs 5th, Cavs 18th
Opponents eFG% - Warriors 1st, Spurs 2nd, Cavs 18th
Blocked Shots - Warriors 1st, Spurs 2nd, Cavs 25th
Steals - Warriors 1st, Spurs 11th, Cavs 30th
Forced Turnovers - Warriors 1st, Spurs 12th, Cavs 28th

That's how I felt in 1989 when Magic and Byron Scott got hurt for the Lakers against the Pistons after sweeping the first 3 rounds of playoffs, but them is the breaks.

Who announced it? Haven't seen anything other than his status is uncertain for Game 2.

Got updates from a couple of apps saying he was ruled out but apparently in the last few minutes, it's been changed to "likely out"...

I guess based on your professional analysis, the Cavs are also fraudulent only winning last year because of Bogut's injury. Got it.

Look, Zaza took Kawhi out. That's done. Now it's time for the Spurs to huddle together and pull out a win in game 2 and do work at home to make this a series. I expect Kawhi to be back for game 3 but who knows. Pop and the rest of the Spurs can hopefully use this as fuel to upset the Warriors.

Lots of things can get you in a fight at the park, I doubt if this is one of them.

Have you played basketball?
Yes, and apparently my knowledge of basketball is like Pops. He must not know much about basketball also. That's an unnatural closeout. Not something normal players do. I call bs on your basketball career if you're really questioning this. Anyone who has played basketball knows where their feet and body are when they close out and knows what Zaza did is cheap.

We can hope but the chances seem very unlikely. I think it's more plausible the Spurs get blown out by 25 then beating the Warriors in Game 2, but anything can happen. I'm just hoping they come out guns blazing, pissed off, in Game 2 and beat the Warriors.

Kawhi = Bogut

Never realized that Bogut was 2x DPOY and Finals MVP. Someone is still a little bitter from the greatest comeback in professional sports history

Zaza Pachulia has no place in this league. He has a history of playing dirty and I'm tired of watching him get away with this crap. He is a classless player who doesn't respect his opponents or the integrity of the game. It was dirty when Bowen did it. It was dirty when Jalen did it. It was dirty when Zaza did it. This type of reckless play makes me sick and players that pull this crap need to be suspended. Enough is enough!

I hope the Warriors are also this delusional and assume they will be getting Cavs regular season defensive effort.
