Just acquired a large ELWAY 90's collection you gotta see this!!! :)
So I posted this thread originally, with all my mail from the last three months (lots of Marino, Sanders, etc) and I was WAY over the image limit so I will put all my mail into three threads or so over the next week so stay tuned for more! Just sticking to the Elway stuff for this thread: I was lucky enough to acquire a large John Elway collection from someone who had been hoarding his stuff since the early 90's. I don't collect elway, but I do collect 90's rarities. I had actually never seen a copy of some of the stuff. He had THOUSANDS of cards so I couldn't buy everything. I can't stand modern cards for so many reasons, so it wasn't too hard to pick and choose what I wanted to buy. The 90's rarities obviously stood out to me, some of this stuff hasn't surfaced in YEARS!!! So obviously i was thrilled to pick it all up in a course of a few weeks Here we go...... Some of the stuff has unique #ering, 1/ 7/ or last #!   STUNNING in person, both #/5    Topps Gold Label RED labels..what a sweet set I miss the 90's!!!    this one has some damage to the right, but it was free.   AMAZING!!!   One of my two favorite Elway cards from the collection, just incredible  These Fleer 24k #/24 are so sharp, this is jersey #7/24!   My favorite Precious Metal Gems set appears yet again   Popular set here  One of the coolest Elway autographs EVER!!! Can someone tell me more about this one? Someone told me its a 94 Pacific Collection card inserted into 95 Prism?  20 made of these, so cool!! More mirrors to come!  Mirror golds!!  several more mirrors - the only one I didn't get was the base mirror blue which sold for $600!!!! those set collectors = $$$  Atomic dual with Griese!  Cool card #/50, anyone know where it came from?  Another one I've never seen before   Not one but TWO 1999 EX Credentials NOW! one is #7/17   1998 EX Credentials , the NOW is #/10...unreal find   WOW  #/25  #/25  These were free, pretty cool as they both have matching serial #'s       Sweet dual, the serial # is odd tho, doesn't match the pack pulled ones. My guess is its a damaged card replacement unless anyone else has further knowledge   got two of these #/21  Love the 01 Elite Face 2 Face set  beautiful!!!  Pen Pals very cool  SWEET   SPEECHLESS   I wanted this card SO BAD back in the early 2000's  I had one of these a long time ago and someone stole it, glad to have the chance to buy another one a decade later   Sharp triple!!  I could never get my hands on this back in the day  One of my favorites!!! First 15 autographed   AND............. WOW   HOW ABOUT TWO OF THEM!? So thrilled to own these! ...my God. That collection is amazing.
If you ever wanted to move some of the duplicates, I would be interested. If you decided to hold onto those for another 20 years like the original owner of the cards did, well, no one could blame you. |

As a diehard Bronco/Elway fan, I'm in shock to see all those rare cards at once. I can go on for days talking about every card. The credentials is just straight nasty along with the quad! Congrats on that haul.

Unreal. I really thought my dad and I had the most impressive Elway collection, but this is the cream of the crop. We never did land some of those incredible ones. I guess 3,400 different cards from 84-07 will do! If you are interested in any weird oddball items, or some of the ones not found here, let me know!
