Well the team posted a video of Edwards Jr finally running on grass which is huge but he could still be a ways away from games.

How the hell has the freaking commish not made a ruling on Aldon yet. At this point its like hes trying to screw the Raiders. Its a complete joke that he hasnt let him back yet.

Not really. The NFL released a statement yesterday basically saying that while tomorrow is technically the deadline they really have till whenever to decide. Thats not exactly what they said but more or less

Maybe frees up the roster spot for Aldon or Mario

Sure doesnt look like we will be hearing about Aldon today. What a joke even if they said he cant come back why it takes this long is beyong me. They knew he wanted to come back so all the prep and interviews and whatever they do should have been done and on the 17th when his suspension ended they should have either let him back or said he isnt ready. Why drag it out like this.

Now the team has said they dont expect Aldon to be back this year. He has asked for a meeting with the commish several times it looks like and hasnt gotten one. This is #@#@#@#@#@#@#@#@ they are doing this because they know it will help the Raiders and they will do nothing to do that.

I hope more then ever that this team goes out and wins it all and puts a big middle finger up to the league

I believe there is a good chance he will come back...but it's not a given. The NFL needs to do the right thing...let Aldon Smith comeback to his Raiders Family.

Huge win after a slow start. They will need to play a complete game thursday to beat KC.

Also it would be awesome if the refs could call some of the obvious holding of Khalil Mack. I get he wont get the call every play but i counted 12 obvious holdings not called against him today

So Edwards Jr is practicing today which is huge news. They have 21 days to activate or shut him down. All reports are if he feels good he will be activated for the Chargers game. This would be tremendous for our run defense and would be evennbigger for Mack and Irvin as Edwards forces teams to not be able to double those guys. The thought of Mack with only one blocker between him and the QB is really really awesome.

Also sounds like Aldon had done everything the NFL had asked and they are still delaying an answer but he ispushing for a meeting and there are reports a decision on him is close. If we added just one of those guys healthy and fresh it would be huge but both would change the entire defense. They would get really really good really fast.

Either way they really need to go out and punch KC in the mouth and take hold of that division and put themselves in the driver seat for a first round bye

Not sure where all you guys went but playoffs are clinched and a win today and a chiefs loss tomorrow and the division and first round bye is locked up.

Im also really worried about the Broncos game next week. They are known for being cheap shot artists and cry babies. If they have nothing to play for i could see Talib taking a cheap shot or someone going after Carr.

I know all of you are really heartbroken over Carr's broken leg. Terrible thing to happen after how great he has been all year. I was looking forward to seeing what they could do in the playoffs at full strength.

Man this is tough. McGloin is pretty good but i dont think he's super bowl good. Id love to be wrong though

Getting the bye will be key. McGloin will need all the reps he can get. Entire season now rests on the shoulders of Mack and Irvin.

Does anyone know why Oakland isn't making any moves? I get that the top priority is to resign Carr and Mack long term but I would have loved getting Calais Campbell or another pass rusher. I haven't heard the raiders linked to anyone anymore now that Bennett is a packer. I read Adrian Peterson is more interested in going to Oakland than Oakland is in signing him. All of our free agents have been poached. I would love to get Hightower but I doubt Oakland is going to sign him.

Hightower will get to much money. There are similar options much cheaper. They are rumored to be in on Poe which would solidify the defensive front.

They shouldnt let Holmes get away, he is a great special teamer and why they don't use him more on offense is beyond me. All the guy does is make big catches.

Mckenzie has certainly earnes the benefit of thedoubt and im sure he has some tricks up his sleeve coming up soon. He has done an incredible job turning this team around.

I believe the Raiders are thinking about the Present and the Future. I know teams such as the Patriots, Jags, etc. seem to be receiving all the praise by ESPN, NFL.Com, etc. Yet what they fail to mention is the following -

Patriots - The're basically placing all there chips on the table. They know the window to win another Championship is closing. Therefore they are focusing on NOW, which will eventually come back to bite them in the a$$ in the near future.
Jags - The downfall of Blake Bortles is the main reason why the Jags are spending $. Yet spending so much money on players who are great, yet pass there prime (does not apply for QB's)...will lead to a future of Salary Cap Hell.

The Raiders have a young roster. Instead of spending money to upgrade a position on need (TE, Oline, etc.). They expect there own young players to improve. This includes players such as Clive Walford, Jihad Ward, Calhoun, Kirkland, Vandal, etc. All who are young and should improve (therefore "upgrade" those positions).

As of now there only signing is that of Newhouse. Yet have you seen the terms of that contract? They are basically paying pennies on the dollar for a player who was graded higher than Menelik Wastson. May not have the upside as Watson, but will available a lot more than Watson.

I really hoping the Lynch signing doesn't keep them from drafting a bruising type back. Id love them to grab D'Onta Foreman out of Texas in the 2nd or 3rd. I think they 100% go corner or LB in the 1st. Im hoping LB as thats our weakest position at this point in my mind

Im hoping they stay away from him. They have such a good group of guys with zero off the field issues (aside from Aldon but he doesn't really count) that I don't want anyone with issues in that locker room. The LB position is deep and they will have plenty of great options no need to take a risk at this point.

If Reggie can put aside his one mistake at the combine (he feels Joe Mixon is a good kid) he could be steal if he falls. He is a great leader and has so much talent.

Dont get me wrong if he can not have off the field issues im all for it but the last thing we want is a guy coming in filling a huge hole in the D and then failing a drug test and being suspended. This team will compete for Super Bowls and we cant have stupid #@#@#@#@#@#@#@#@ getting in the way.
