It really sucks to pay so much for a box and the cards aren't at least NM to MT. That is part of the reason why I stopped buying wax.

The condition isn't really the problem here. That could have happened after the card was pulled.

Judging the shape of the patch, any guesses on which Warriors player that could've come from?

EDIT: Quick research has led me to conclude it may be: 1) Patrick McCaw 2) James McAdoo due to their numbers and last names...if that's what tripped Panini up.

Just realized it was a patch problem. Wow, that is even a bigger mix-up! Sorry man!

That would make sense, if McCaw was in that year's products (he's a RC THIS year) or if Panini had ANY jersey material of James Michael McAdoo (they don't). McAdoo also only had 4 Panini card made in 2015-16 and they were just sticker autos.

Right, got some players mixed up I don't want to believe the patch came from any stars on the team, but now that looks like a possibility.

It's a rookie year card, Panini literally does not give a crap what they put in there...

Have we conclusively excluded throwback jerseys?

... yes.

It's a Warriors patch. McConnell hasn't had any throwback jerseys used and even if he did it wouldn't look like this.

Do people still think the jerseys on the card are from jerseys the player on the card actually wore?

It's pretty hit or miss for the most part. I was more so pointing out that it wouldn't even be possible for it to be either of those players' jerseys because Panini didn't have jerseys from them when that card was produced.

Would this be worth contacting Panini over? I'd like to see their response...better yet, I'd like to know whose jersey that really is.

Nobody's!
That's the point, and one that so many people have no clue about.
'Player worn' jerseys mean next to nothing. They could be store bought jerseys, they could be authentic or they could have actually been game style and maybe even worn by the player they feature on the card - but who knows! They're nothing little pieces of fabric in cards yet people still go nuts over them.
