INDY'S GUILTY PLEASURE PICK

Pussycats #1 - This sold out fast when volume one came out a few years back. I just like the covers

I'm also fond of the Venomized Squirrel Girl variant coming out this week.

ONE TO WATCH

Man-Thing Vol 5 #1 Cover E Incentive Francesco Francavilla Variant - Great 1950's stylized movie poster variant. I love Francavillas work and this new series is written by RL Stine. Could be a total sleeper hit.

Don't know, it's not a ratio but I have heard that Marvel has made it hard to stores to qualify for them.

+1 to that! My LCS told me today they didn't qualify for the Mighty Captain Marvel variant so here's to hoping I can find one when it comes out! I've ordered 4 of the Wolverine's and may have another 2 or 3 waiting for me at the LCS.

There is a Keron Grant variant for Kingpin #2 that is pretty sweet. Sold out at midtown.

He is my FAVORITE artist. I have one of these on the way from MT, I'll be on the lookout for a 9.8 candidate-- if anyone sees an extra one at a decent price, snag it!

He also did the Elektra Hip Hop cover.. oh and the Hyperion 50th ann. Black Panther Variant cover of which I got a signed print on my wall.

#1 on my list of favorite modern covers.. This is so wicked..

BEAUTIFUL cover. Found the last copy online at Graham Crackers at about 2:30AM (late night playing cards with the boys) at a great price.

Just a few things I noticed at my shop.

The majority of Grass City copies had damage. Hoping it was just the shop and not a title wide issue. 0 issues of Pussycats were ordered, surprising mainly because the shop likes to support indie stuff. Only ordered 2 copies of the venomized All New Wolverine. Lastly only 8 copies of Man-Thing were ordered, have a feeling the variants will be scarce.

Yep, the mandate by Marvel to up orders by 200% on other titles in order to qualify has made them hard for shops to get. I've noticed my local shop cutting their monthly orders and they didn't see the ROI in upping orders on non performing books to get some $10 variants.

I put 3 copies of Grass City back as they all had roller damage on the front cover going diagonal from upper right to down left across them

Same roller damage at my local. All on cover A. Didn't see cover B. Was able to grab a clean copy of the Staples cover though.

I was able to Venom: All New Wolverine, CPT America, Gwenpool. I passed on Venom covers of Kingpin, Old man logan, Spider-Man/Deadpool. I was able to snag the one per store preview of Redneck. This could get hot.
