I couldn't bring myself to pay $25 for the America #1 variant. I did pick up 2 of the death of Hawkman 6 variant - it's doing $15-20 on ebay right now.

Gonna have to find a new shop. LCS recently changed to no longer have books in bags/boards, .25 charge now. And last 2 months of books have for the most part had some type of damage. Sad, only able to pick up 1 copy of America today, out of the 20 they had. 15 copies of Royal City, but all had bad corner damage.

I picked up a copy of Amerikarate #1 to read, and OMG this book is hilarious. I HIGHLY recommend you pick it up asap. I think people will talk about how funny this one is and want it. I laughed out loud quite a few times. It's so silly and fun, right up my alley. It's what a comic is supposed to be. Witty, sharp, funny. Here's a review.

Let me know what you think. It's very zany but a lot of fun, especially if you grew up watching 80's action movies.

I went back last night and they still had it for $25. I asked if they could do better and ended up getting it for $15 (which was right about where i wanted to be). I think this is a hold for now, but I need to get those death of hawkmen 6's listed!

no worries-i just felt we were/are losing ground around here. I see a mode coming.....We are constantly fawning over variants, side companies low print runs, and accumulating instead of truly speculating and focusing on what matters. Keys, appearances, main characters, storylines, etc.----things that make a diff in the comic universe.

I read the first two pages of Ms America. I might try to read the rest some other time.

In other words, I'm not digging it.
