Maybe it's not a risk and thats the real market value? This is ignoring all listings that are OBO since sellers in that setting can control how much they get for the card.

Wonder if anyone wI'll list a Bryzzo as an auction with no reserve starting at .99

Yeah perhaps. I was referring to the fact that a few of the Brussells sold for $100-200 higher earlier in the day, or day before.

Auction is not the way to go if there are multiple listings of OBO of same card.
If the bidder is smart enough and not have their mind heated up in the bidding war, once they see the price nearing the OBO or 5-10% lower than the OBO price, they will just stop bidding and decide to give offer on the OBO instead. Especially when there are multiple of those OBO listings giving you more chance to get the lower price.

If you see OBO listings dry up, then maybe auction can get you some big bucks, since people might get heated up over bidding on that only one card.
I just don't see the reason to do auction style while there are so many OBO listings, unless you need the money quick (in 3, 5, 7, 14 days).

Looks like offers of $799, $1750, and $1949 were declined and $2500 was accepted...

Yeesh only $1275? They must have sold low. That's hardly over what non premium numbers are going for.

similar to the Bryzzo /49 that sold 2/27 for $1,250 I think they went low. better to hold if you want to sell to maximize sales price when supply dries up.

Then I check out the eBay listing and lo and behold it is the same card that I paid for. Serial #7/99. So I checked out my PayPal and he refunded my payment. Not sure why he backed out of the deal, but it sucks that I bought the card, thought I was getting a Bryzzo, and he backs out of the deal without any notification. I have private messages to prove all this.

That sucks, but at least you got the money back.
Not saying that's the right attitude from the seller, but better than being nervous for the next several days without getting the refund and seeing the bids go up on eBay.
I hope you find another chance to buy it with a better, mature seller.

Username please

EDIT: nevermind, figured out who it was. That person should be banned honestly. He did the same thing to a Blowout member for the Bryant/Russell. You really should leave negative feedback like the other member did since payment was exchanged. Absolutely no need for that on the forum.

Just got shipping notice from Topps in PA. Don't know what it is unless it is a Brussell or SW auto redemption. 3 days.

Yes Star Wars but the crazy thing is it says the item weighs 1 pound. No card or relic card has weighed that on any previous Topps Now shipment. I have nothing else outstanding.

Don't forget about the Bryant/Russell. You backed out of that one without contacting the buyer too!

Where's Thor when you need him???

Mainly interested in his hammer(s)

But for real, can we get rid of him? No need to have a seller like that on this forum.
