The burlap is back! First Buzz: 2017 Topps Heritage baseball cards (will update)

I get just as excited as the next person when it comes to seeing what new cards look like. In fact, I remember the first time I saw what the new season's cards looked like. I started buying wax packs at my local general store in at age nine in 1987 and I received two cello packs of 1988 baseball from my uncle for my birthday. I still remember the spot I was in my foyer when I opened those new baseball card packs.

On the flip side, I get somewhat annoyed when breakers are listing their stuff on eBay two days before the official release. I don't mind that people break their wax when they get it, or even when they post their hits on eBay, like what Brent does, but it really irks me when I see cards listed on eBay prior to release date.

There are much more important things in the world, but I was curious to see what all of you think.

I know my LCS owner, who is an authorized Topps dealer, won't sell until the release date. His store is closed on Monday, so he gets a Wednesday release product sometime on Tuesday, and I'm cool with that.

To be clear, it's not that I object to seeing the cards, meaning it doesn't ruin the surprise for me (if it did, I wouldn't check the forum or eBay), but rather that they are for sale this early.

Not with picking up cards, but my ex gf had ordered two live turtles for her sons and the UPS driver got an early start to the day and delivered before the estimated time. Knowing that these were live reptiles, and although packaged well, they couldn't last another day in transit. I called UPS and they put me in touch with the driver and I met him about 15 minutes after speaking to him.

I'd say it is worth a shot to contact UPS as the worst that can happen is they say no you have to wait.

Yes I do yhis all the time, You must have a picture ID with your adrres on it. You can pick it up as soon asthey open, mine is at 10:00.

Happens every product..

My best guess is distributers let it out when they get it on monday..

Both my Dist biggest rule is no product out early..

I ask all the time...

Same answer... we dont want to lose are dist license

You would think it would be easy for topps to catch who is doing this...

But it has been going on so long.. Only answer is they dont care..

Anybody taking the advantage of 8% ebay bucks (for over $50 purchase) to buy cases of Heritage?
Though it will still be higher in price than the initial pre-sellings even after considering the ebay bucks return, and I won't get it on release date, I'm thinking about doing a case.
It is very tempting when reading all these posts here...

I received my shipping info from BO yesterday and expected delivery here in NC is tomorrow between 10:00 and 2:00. Tracking shows it's on the truck from Richmond, VA and I am going to see if I can intercept it at the UPS facility tonight.
