I bought my 2 trout base rookies in 2013 or 2014 raw off of COMC for $30 apiece and had them graded. The diamond anniversary I won off of Ebay in October or November for $310 but I used $60 in ebay bucks so I paid $250 total. I had no idea it would explode. I was planning on getting the cognac next but that's out the window now.

Maybe Trout, but probably not Bryant. He was pretty undervalued up until a couple months ago.

In all seriousness, this is NUTTY. I've got a Trout Update at BGS right now (didn't look like a PSA candidate), so fingers crossed prices continue to clime.

On another note, I think that this has already sparked, and will continue the trend of flagship rare parallel graded cards. Trouts Diamond Anniversaries, Target Red Border, Walmart Blue Border, Black border, Hope Diamond etc have all made 2014 Betts parallels, 2015 Bryant parallels, 2016 Seager parallels desirable cards to get.

These are the modern day Topps Tiffany's.

How about the Harper 2012 update? Is the batting or running the true card to have

The tide's been changing for a while, just slowly. There are a lot of factors involved imo, but the main issue i have with BGS is their flips are three (four if you count blue) different colors. Kills eye-appeal when laid out together, and also comes off as a "F YOU, your card isnt good enough!" to the submitter that has cards of a "lower" grade

The rare close up batting (not leg-up) version is the rarest / most expensive but I love the screaming version personally. Kind of sums up what you either love or don't love about Bryce.
