Not sure that people need to bother so much with blocking the code on the back, as you have to physically send the card to Topps to get your Topps Now cards.

As I posted in another thread there is a downloadable pdf with the full rules at https://www.topps.com/promotions.

Pity that overseas collectors are excluded.

Hey thanks for this! If it is just a date then I guess you could and should show if trying to sell. I mean Opening Day, Father's Day and any of the big days that will certainly have cards will bring top dollar. I so want to pull one of these...so where have they come from so far...just the jumbo cases?

Joe Joe - From the pdf - "Cards will be in both Series 1 & 2".

Pack odds for Series 1 are 1 in 21,856 packs for Hobby and 1 in 4,444 packs for Jumbos.

Topps' estimate is that "each prize has an approximate retail value of $50".

I guess they have to put something in about value, but I think you are correct it will depend on what happens on the day you have, and which players are featured.

Could end up with some good cards, but a bit of a lottery, and not sure I'd be paying $500 for these at this stage.

I'd still love to participate, but as an Aussie I cannot.

Does the Golden Ticket ENSURE that you are winning a card (or cards) from the date specified on back?
I read the below terms at bottom of clause 2, and it seems like you still have to be "selected" as a winner.
I'm thinking that this means there are several Golden Ticket cards with same date on the back, and you still have to be "selected" amongst those several entrees.
I don't know if I'm reading it right, but that's how I interpreted it.

///
But, if your mail-in entry is not selected, you will NOT be notified. Limit (1) mail-in entry per household.
Winners will be determined at Sponsor’s offices in New York, NY (USA) or another location of Sponsor’s sole choosing.

No, the 'you may not be selected' part applies only to the 'no purchase necessary' method of entering.

As I read it there are a total of 179 Golden Ticket cards (99 in Series 1 and 80 in Series 2) corresponding to the 179 days covered by the promotion, and each one will win up to 5 Topps Now cards.

Every card is a winner. You just won't know how good your cards will be until the games are played.

AND...the way I read it is if no cards happen your day you get 5 cards from the day after...not foiled, just cards. Its a bit steep at $500, that's why I only offered $100...as I think it's a huge gamble and would save that $500 to buy any Phillies cards printed and foil stamped that come out with it. Now if it was my card (packed pulled) it take at least $700 to get me to gone off of it...if I sold it at all. All I'd do is come here and gloat

How many pages will this thread go before Topps actually puts out a new Topps Now card for 2017?

I'm really itching for some new Yankees Topps Now cards.

Does suck that you can't play...the retail value stated seems about right if the worst possible scenario is you get 5 regular Topps Now cards.

those Golden Tickets to me seem like a no-brainer to sell if you pull one. But I'm not an in-depth Topps Now guy like some of you, but it seems if someone is willing to pony up $500 for that card and the gamble of what it could be just seems worth it

Don't the rules explicitly state it's just a 5-pack of cards? If so, aren't they really only worth like $29.99? Isn't it just a chance too?

I am thinking that people are spending $100s for a chance at a $30 prize- does not make sense to me

I'm think a bird in a hand is wise...however you could be giving up quite a bit. These are going to be 1/1 cards of the Topps Now cards issued that day. If no cards are issued then yes it's a $30 prize of 5 cards the next day they print them.

The 4 April guy has a chance...depending on what happens that day of course but if Trout and Harper have a big day that day...well a 1/1 of those could be quite valuable. As arguable one of the biggest fans and investors in the product I am not even willing to put out $500 for the two that are out there at the moment but $100 to $200...yup easy days. Instead though I've just went out and bought my own case in hopes of hitting one. I mean selling it to pay for your case is a GREAT idea...I just think it will be crazy fun to have one card and go to the game that day. I like the entire feel of it...just not for $500. FYI, the 31 May one shot me down automatic for $200.

I really don't think they are 1/1's, I don't know where you got that from- I was thinking they were, too until I read the rules- I was planning on "investing" in some until I saw this in the rules:

Quote:
Subject to verification of prize claim by Sponsor (as per Rule 4 below; not applicable to mail-in entries selected by Sponsor), a Topps Now Golden Ticket card can be redeemed for a prize of the set of approximately five (5) Topps Now trading cards produced by Sponsor to highlight player feats, accomplishments or other special occurrences taking place on the indicated date of the 2017 Major League Baseball regular season. Sponsor shall determine, in its sole discretion, which player feats/accomplishments/special occurrences for a given date of the Major League Baseball regular season will be highlighted via Topps Now cards.
There is nothing indicating that these are 1/1 or even short-printed. It appears it is just a 5-pack of regular cards...

This could explain the approximate retail value of only $50 ($10 per card).

What does the redemption card say? Does it specify uniqueness?

So 1/1's that aren't stamped as 1/1 but maybe just a different look to the card than the base cards?

IDK I do think it was an interesting insert into the Series 1/2 product lineup though

Yes the Fog of War is still there but from all I have read it seems like it will be a foil stamped Topps Now Card from the day (or if no card that day) then from the next day. In the end we will see...

THE BIGGEST DECISION IS IF I WANT TO FLIP AGAIN THIS YEAR...I HAD NO TIME FOR MYSELF AND THE PROBLEMS THAT I ENCOUNTED. THE ONLY REASON WHY I FLIPPED 2016 WAS TO GET THE SET FOR MYSELF.
IF SOMEONE CAN CONVINCE ME I WILL DO IT AGAIN THIS YEAR

Im going to collect all Yankee cards...last year I bought all cards from flippers....I think topps now is going to become increasingly more popular this year.....doesnt make sense to buy just one card....will price structure remain the same this year?
