I voted Harden. Should have made votes public so we can see how bias some people are.

Heck. I meant to.

My bad. I voted harden too. I don't like him. But as of right now, it's him.

It's still LeBron.

When he wants to... he just takes over a game. Just can't do it 82 games and the playoffs. A motivated LeBron is still MVP... just like MJ back in the day.

The thread should be retitled 'Who Will Come 2nd To Russell Westbrook In The MVP Race?'

How is it LeBron this year? It's a 82 game season not just showing up and playing at your peak when you want.

MVP Westbrook.

Best player on the planet, LeBron.

Harden and Westbrook are really close, Harden the better shooter, Westbrook the better rebounder. Westbrook also doing it with a little less of a supporting cast though. All other numbers are really, really close.

I go slight edge Harden right now, but it could swing the other way in just a game for me.

I think it comes down to the fact that the Rockets are a better team right now, therefore giving the edge to the beard.

I voted Harden but the margin is razor thin. The Rockets were on fire in December so I'll give him the edge for now. It really flip flops daily.

I'd probabaly put Giannis 3rd right now. 7th seed and an even .500 record. The Bucks might be the worst team in the NBA without him.

Voted Russ but Harden had a career night, 1st ever 50+15+15 triple double

I don't think anyone on GS should win it, and certainly not the guy who joined an all-time great team. It's Harden's if Hou retains that 3-seed, and Giannis has an outside shot if the Bucks get the 3-4 seed in the East. [very doable because they'll be pretty dangerous once Middleton gets healthy and they're only 3 games back of Boston right now].

If those teams fail its probably LeBron's

Love Hharden but the MVP is 10000% RUSSS. If Russ averages a triple double and OKC makes playoffs RUSS is 1000000000000% the MVP.

This is an opinion poll, and I respect many different view points, but anybody talking Giannis over Lebron has serious judgement making issues.

Exactly as long as he averages a triple double and OKC makes playoffs there is no chance anyone wins MVP but him.

The guy is avearging a TRIPLE DOUBLE PEOPLE lets all wake up here and realize how freaking CRAZY that is.

The guy is 1000000000% the MVP if he keeps this up.

It will be hard to deny Harden or Westbrook, but I'd rather see LeBron get it than those 2. I don't think guys that TO so much and have the highest usage are necessarily MVPs.

It's Harden at this point. Just. If Houston end up the second or third seed then it's going to be tough not to give it to him (assuming OKC is still a decent number of games behind).

Giannis isn't even top 5 at this point. He's probably not too far off, though.

Barring any disasters, he's not going to get more votes that Russ, Harden, Lebron, Durant or Kawhi.

Giannis is having a GREAT season. All NBA second team is absolutely possible.

But come on guys, MVP? 7th in the east.

Nor is he doing anything history in a year in which others are.

Don't get me wrong, heck of a player, and may be a serious candidate in the coming years, but this point in the season he's not even close.

i, too, am not a big harden fan but what he is doing its mvp worthy. so far the rockets are the 3 seed and hes averaging 28/8/12. a strong case can be made for russ too but playing in the same conference and being behind the rockets is the determining factor for me right now. take both players off their respective teams and both teams would be bottom feeders. they could do co-mvp and i would be fine with it at this point.

Russ is averaging something like 31/10/10 which is stronger than harden. Gotta go with Russ but not by much.

Westbrook has been impressive but Harden has the edge due to how great the Rockets are doing this season. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make the conference finals either. Harden doesn't get the hobby love but that means nothing as far as the actual MVP vote goes.

Harden, Lebron 2nd and Russ 3rd. If the Thunder were better easily Russ. Good thing the poll is now cause by seasons end who knows Thunder could be better than Rockets. Rockets are a good team but shooting 40 3's a game won't work in the playoffs.
