I'm in agreement with elee. In order for success at the game of basketball you need to pass the ball a lot IMO. The more kick and drives you can do = more open players. Another critical and essential part of the game is the pick and roll. It's the easiest and most difficult play to defend if done correctly.
The sad thing is that I don't think even if Russ shot less I still believe you'd have the same outcome. I mean if Robertson or any player can run a pick and roll effectively you'll score, it's just a matter of giving that time for those players to build a repertoire between each other. Russ ain't got time for that crap when he can drive and score 426 times out of a thousand.

This is going to come down to the point that I think Westbrook needed to pass the ball more to Durant. He didn't and now he and ibaka are gone. Westbrook won't win a chip soon and that's because there's no more team because, in my opinion, he chased away Durant and the organization went semi-rebuild.

The lack of Olapdipo in the LU is blatantly showing itself these past few games, and further reinforces exactly how bad this team is offensively outside of Westbrook.

Anybody arguing that Adams, Roberson, or Sabonis are quality offensive complements are smoking that good stuff.

This team is in a whole lot of trouble if Ola can't stay healthy this year. Unfortunately Westbrook doesn't have the god given quality jumpshot of an MJ...so teams will continue to essentially stack the box and force him into contested looks at the rim.

I think Adams and Sabonis, more than bad offensive players, have offensive abilities that are nice but more secondary than anything. Sabonis looks like a good pick and pop player (with more work) and Adams sets nice screens and is a good finisher near the rim.

I think what Westbrook needs is a SG that complements his game better - good shooter, decent one-on-one player, lower usage than him. Someone like CJ McCollum would be perfect playing next to him.
