That's fair. I just don't like the divide that's all. I stand by my statement that anyone destroying anything or causing violence needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I admittedly voted Hillary. I was shocked that Donald Trump won. Personally, with the debt ballooning I didn't think it was time to be cutting taxes as he proposed. Everything else was a toss-up issue for me. Both had their faults policy wise and neither spoke to me, so I had to narrow it down to that one issue (sad, I know). On a positive note, if projection models are correct I should have roughly a $4-5,000 tax break. That will be nice, but if so we'll just be kicking the debt can further down the road. Oh well... I woke up this morning and even though it's raining where I live the Earth didn't blow up. I sincerely wish President-Elect Trump (feels extremely weird saying that) the absolute best during his Presidency. While I didn't care for the rhetoric at times, I don't think he's some villain that some have made him out to be. I think he has a good chance to be a decent president. All in all he's probably more liberal than Hillary Clinton was. I'm also happy that those who felt left out during the past 8 years (right or wrong) got a night to feel good. Nobody likes to keep being held down and sometimes everybody needs a little victory now and then. To those that voted for President-Elect Trump I genuinely hope today made you feel good. I may disagree with some of you on a bunch of different political issues, but if yesterday made some of you feel better than you had recently that's good enough for me. |

It was a question posed to get the desired response and Trump gave them exactly what they thought he would or wouldn't say. Granted, a more appropriate response might have been "I'll accept the verified results" and move on, but that isn't him. |

When I was in high school, my whole civics class registered as democrats, because that's what we were taught to believe.

Considering we're not a Democracy, it's kind of hard to undermine something that doesn't exist. And this is from someone who is not a fan of Trump.

He has said lots of crap, that's my #1 issue with him. His bark is a lot louder than his bite. Just watch. All you can do is watch. Many democrats will end up loving him. Mark my words. |

I said that he casted doubt on our American democracy...more simply stated, he casted doubt on our system of government.

You guys own nothing, and have no clue the responsibilities that go into running a household and raising children. Not to mention potentially running a business and being a good spouse. You young kiddos need to learn how to grow up. It's absolutely pathetic.

I would speculate that statement was advice from some of his nere-do-well advisors to hedge and to keep his base flamed up if he lost.

I had sat her down before and explained to her my views. Basically that he was the BEST choice for the Hispanic community. Unfiltered immigrants from Mexico that are potentially rapists or murderers (obviously not anywhere near the majority as most are great people, but nonetheless they are there) don't end up in middle-class suburban communities, they end up in Mexican communities doing crimes against fellow Mexicans. I support Trump because I don't want to see victims of violence that could be prevented by simply checking someone's name on their passport and seeing they were a criminal in Mexico and thus turning them away. Then there's the economic aspect. Consider you are a landscaper. It's an industry that is largely staffed by immigrants. If you currently are making $10 per hour and then a wave of migrants accustomed to $10 a day in Mexico arrives, they will be willing to work for less. You will likely find yourself out of work or taking a reduced wage as a result of immigration. Thirdly, the facts are the immigrants from Mexico use food stamps, government assistance for health care, and other services more so than immigrants from Europe. They have a significantly higher birth rate as well, so the burden on taxpayers can grow exponentially with time. Simply put there are already large sections of our inner cities that are experiencing horrible poverty and we should help these people before allowing anymore in. Obviously a Mexican businessman/woman with a degree that will be self-sufficient and pay more taxes than they use in benefits wouldn't negatively affect this and should be still allowed to become citizens. We may want to think twice about taking on any more migrants that will be dependent on our tax dollars though considering our huge deficit. The bigger picture is not against Mexicans but rather this idea that we should take care of those already here, that have paid taxes and gone about becoming American citizens, that have fought in the US Military, before we take care of more and more that just came over the border. There is only a finite amount of resources and taking on more migrants in need of aid when we are in a deficit is like someone that is broke with three kids deciding on having more children simply not a good choice. That's my $0.02. A little piece of me hurt to see the disappointment in my mom's face as I'm sure she was excited to see a women become POTUS. I'm sure there will be one soon, more qualified, more charismatic and not laden with scandals that can run this country properly. It's only a matter of time. |

My wifes sister goes to University of Washington. Her teacher walked in today crying and told the students that there will be no participation points or homework for the rest of the week and that they can stay home if they need to. There is also multiple "healing centers" on campus if people need to talk.

He is, by far, the most racist Anti-American individual on this forum. His posts are full of hatred for this country and for white people.
Not to mention he posts false data and lies.

So, on some level, Yes the system is rigged. Doesn't mean that we have a corrupt Banana Republic. Every candidate throws around the word 'rigged' so, guess I'm just numb to it. |

That is being dangerously mentally weak. If nothing else, this was a much needed punch in the gut for those entitled children. There was a 19 year old girl here that was taking Trump lawn signs and when she was caught said "I don't agree with your views". It's out of control. |
