I think Topps / Fred should know, we as a buying community have probably reached peak spending level. The only way to counter that (by Topps) is too lower the prices. Yes, I know this is the world series, but think volume, not price in maximizing topps profit.

I'm tapped out. Went too hard too fast throughout the season. Now I'm just waiting for the 1 or 2 auto or auto/relics I want to buy (ie. Bryant, Schwarber, Rizzo, Jake, etc.) Can't do the Indians anymore. Trying to sell my Napoli now to fund and will likely sell my Tito when it comes in.

Actually, I don't want the prices reduced. That could hurt longterm value of the cards.

What they really need to do is stop producing 6 or so cards for each game.

As I've stated before, "Player X grounds into a fielder's choice knocking in a run in a 6-0 win" is just not necessary. Really, 2 or 3 cards from each game would be fine barring something earth shattering.

Sorry should have added I meant relics and autos. Yes don't lower or increase base cards.

There are a ton of positives to this program and if for those that have missed out so far, it's too bad for you.

That being said, the program must make strides forward in 2017 for long term growth and value. I want people who are buying cards today to want to buy cards from yesterday if they just discovered the program. I don't think a "Player X makes routine catch in CF for the 2nd out in the 4th inning of a 7-1 loss" card is going to help that.

I collect, no flipping or anything like that. I avoided Topps Now as a gimmick...until the Indians clinched. Even then, I only started following this thread. I never thought the Tribe would get past Boston, and I would not be a buyer.

Once they did...as a completist...then I regretted not getting in on this. But right away I decided since I did not get in when it started, trying to go back and collect all the cards would be just too much work/too expensive. I have decided that I am only going to grab that team sets/award winner/clinchers/rookie cards. All the notable performance cards I am going to skip.

I feel like those cards will make a nice complement to my Topps team set.

That said, I still really think that a comic book-esque subscription service is the way to go. If Topps would just lower the price a couple dollars on the single cards...I would throw them my credit card number. And like comics, you can have a deal where people with the subscription get random parallels or even a discount based on the the amount of cards/teams they follow. Topps could just be printing money. As a dealer I think you could do the same...though you would have to make it clear that there no returns and its your responsibility to pull the subscription if you dont want to be charged more.
