That said, norcal if you want to save some fees let me know. Planning to grab the 3 base Cubs from you.
Yea 130.00 is high. Flippers GOOD LUCK! Topps knows how to price these things well.

The base cards are up.

So are we going to see the cards of the WS losing team get dumped in a flurry by some flippers after the Series is over?

This is going to be a difficult investment if attempting to flip.
I just looked through the eBay sales of past Russell autos, and they are usually between $25-50 (even those that are numbered to as low as #/25 or #/50).

Him being a Cub and being chosen as the starting SS for the All Star in 2016 probably shows that he is already at his prime (in terms of hobby popularity), and I can't see his hobby values rising any higher.

I think that's a valid point--TN autos need to be special somehow to really stand out. If some flippers have to take losses at autos/relics, will we see them last longer or not sell out in the future, assuming Topps doesn't lower prices on them?

I still find it hard to believe that he beat Seager and Trevor Story for the All Star polls...
Maybe I undervalue him too much, but I can't imagine this continuing for another 3,4 years.

the acceptable auto list then should read:

Cubs:
Kris Bryant
Javier Baez

Dodgers:
Corey Seager
Clayton Kershaw
Julio Urias
Kenley Jansen

Indians:
Ryan Merritt
Francisco Lindor

Is this what we want to submit to Fred?

Kenta Maeda (if he can turn it around!)
Joc Pederson (just cause I like the player)

Indians:
Ryan Merritt
Francisco Lindor
Andrew Miller (I think you just forgot)

My comments written in bold.
I said "not interested" in Jansen, but changed my mind.
Forgot how good he has been in the post season.

Are these 1/1 cards actually worth anything more than their cost?

Only time will tell. As Topps Now is different from regular packed out products. Cards (supply) from packed out products hit the secondary markets differently since the supply can remain in pack/boxes for years. With Topps NOW the supply is all being dumped at once out to the buyers.

someone definitely thinks so. And whoever it is, isn't listing for resale on ebay either.

Do any of you regulars ever see the 1/1 as in stock..

I'm not surprised that it's the first to sell out.. but I've been F5ing with the best of them on some days and that 1/1 seems to always be sold out.

Since the first 1/1 ever appeared on the website.... I see it on the site about 50% of the time "In Stock".

How do you make money on these cards? All I see is them selling on ebay from $5-9?

You don't consistently.

Those days are long gone. Unfortunately there are too many sellers now who will work for mere pennies and do anything to get those pennies.

So are these mainly just for collectors items?

Now. I would say Yes.

However. There will always been short term and long term speculators.

I started buying as just a collector's item, but now sometime buy to invest as well.
I think many people here are hopeful that these cards will have higher value in the future, when the Topps Now program enters 2nd year, 3rd year, and so on.
