I wish Trump would have hammered this home in his closing. "We've spent the last 90 minutes listening to Hillary Clinton tell you, the American people about all of the horrible things I've done as a businessman. Using Chinese steel, hiring undocumented immigrants to build my hotels, paying little to no income tax ... and she's absolutely right about all of it. I've done all of those things, and I've been allowed to do them, legally, because of politicians like Hillary Clinton. Take a good look at me America ... I am the result of Hillary Clinton in power"

I would have put a hole in my floor after landing from a sky high fist pump jump had he gone that rout. Damn.

First time ever someone from FOX News moderated a general election debate, I think it's going to be an every year occurrence now.
100% this. Chris did his father proud. I'd just assume he moderate all debates going forward.

Exactly. I wish he would have as well, it would of been glorious. Although he didn't explicitly say it, we came to that conclusion and I think many Americans have.

Huh. Jake Tapper says the CNN focus group voted 2-1 in Trumps favor for the debate tonight.

No matter the outcome of this crap show, I am glad Trumps movement has stirred up the corruption and forced a lot of it to the surface. Americans are fed up with all of it and this will open doors for the non-career politicians to become leaders of our country. We need businessmen and women, doctors, scientists, and other great minds bringing new ideas and diversity. The founders of this country were not all scumbag lawyers that crawled their way up the political ladder, we need to get back to that.

I guarantee there are very smart people watching him trudge through all of these uncharted waters, seeing the media conspire against him and are getting inspired to stand up against it. The corruption on both sides is there, and I don't think it's ever been more clear. Maybe I'm just being optimistic.

My biggest takeaway from this debate?

Hillary Clinton discussing her support for late term partial birth abortion.

Hearing someone, especially a mother, advocate for this type of murder was especially sickening. If I happened to be a liberal, I would take a long hard look in the mirror at myself if I supported this. Nothing more vile and disgusting in my opinion.

Also, I do not see the big deal of Trump questioning the legitimacy of the election. The mainstream media is clearly picking which stories to report on and therefore influencing voters. They have single handedly created a stigma that Trump supporters are racists, bigots, blah blah blah. Many of which will not display any advertising of their support because they fear there will be violence of their property or body. There is corruption involved with the Clintons coming out everyday and yet it gets very little coverage. I'm sure many Americans feel the same way and question the disgusting bias that has been created.

Kelly putting Brazile in the hot seat was beautiful and very awkward. I wish we could get Hillary in a situation like that. No note cards, no rehearsing, just straightforward questions and answers. Americans deserve it. I have a feeling she would spontaneously combust.
should have made it impossible for him to do it? there's a word for that, you know, and that word is "protectionism". it doesn't do anybody any good. our industries need to become MORE competitive, not less. the republican nominee is advocating for big government to pick winners and losers now.

and the "hire a bank robber to run the bank" logic is not compelling

don't see the problem with him questioning the legitimacy of the election? it's a baseless charge with the potential to destabilize the country. so we want the 2000 election replayed only this time stretched out for a year or two? that's a swell idea!

sorry, but trump supporters created the stigma that they are racists. i have read many a thread on breitbart, i have scrolled many a alt-right twitter feed. never in my life have i seen black people referred to as "feral" more often than i have in these trump gathering places. it's sickening. calling them racists is candy coating it imho.

at this point, hillary has probably logged several continuous days of testimony under oath answering questions from people that want to bury her figuratively, if not literally. most of it over contrived "scandals". megyn wouldn't be able to crack hillary. heck, some say megyn will be voting for her...

Some Trump supporters: "We Love Trump because he's not PC and says what's on his mind!"

Clinton: “You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

Some Trump supporters: "What? She can't call racist, sexist, and homophobic people deplorable! That's not PC at all! HOW DARE SHE! Did she say grossly? Ewwwww, what's that? She calling ME gross? Am I in the half in that basket? I'm proud to be in that basket then! Pour some deplorable on me, ohh in the name of Trump!"

Gary Johnson: Donald Trump's a ****y.

Yeah i felt like he should have stayed quiet when the moderator was telling Hillary to get on topic about the wikileaks stuff. Instead he yelled about something else, and they just let it go.

Well, when it comes to the issues I care most about I align most with Johnson. However I'd also like to vote for someone who actually has a shot at winning so that leaves me with Trump. After the way the 2nd debate went I just couldn't get behind him. I guess I was judging this debate with a "spread". For Trump to win he really just needed to stay somewhat focused, defend himself, and not say anything too stupid; he didn't necessarily have to win straight up. Although i did find myself telling him to just shut up a couple times, I think overall he did much better in this debate.

I fell asleep in the first five minutes.

Good news for Trump is that he will make millions off his nonsense by self-promoting after the election.

From what I am reading....Hillary sweeps Trump 3-0.

Our Comcast cable/internet/phone service went down due to an outage about 40 minutes before the debate and was down for around 3 hours (my son told me because I went to bed early).

Slept great.

The outage should have been nationwide.

yea, sure did. that is another reason why I haven't said anything bad since. I've barely even been in this thread since. What I said before was deserving of a suspension. What I said four minutes ago was nothing. Just my OPINION. I believe this is over and safe to say she's officially won. Others have posted their opinion in this thread also so WHY are you all of the sudden so offended by mine??? Just trying to get me in trouble. It isn't going to work as i have nothing else to say about this! I believe she won the debate again.

Plenty of people BASH hillary in this thread. It goes both ways. that is why we have opinions. No big deal. No need to get offended. Not trying to make anybody mad or upset. Just my simple opinion. Somebody will win and somebody will lose. We'll see on Nov 8th I guess.

Thank you.

So the democratic primary was not rigged against Bernie in any way?

A couple things I noticed:

- On back to back points Hillary mentioned thousands of kids dying because of guns in the home but then backs late term abortion one question later
- Hillary mentions bringing Bin Laden to justice but doesn't believe in the death penalty

Exactly. The one thing I was pulling my hair out over last night. Wallace gave Trump a lob over the questioning of a rigged election, all he needed to say was "if the DNC would rig an election against their own party, what would make you think they wouldn't do the same to the rest of the nation?" Clearly missed a golden opportunity.

A question I have is, will this thread be shut down when the election is over? I vote yes. I think this thread is full of ugly and nasty comments directed at both candidates and at some points, one another. I think a lot of people will come to regret some of the things they said in here. I just hope that once this thing is done and over with, people can relax a bit and try to just live their life the best they can.

Agree with this 100%

blowout is for the most part allowing us to voice our opinions while this is going on... but once it is over and the winner is announced this thread should have 1 day or so and then should be locked.

This seems another way of not holding people accountable. A true problem with our youth today and, I guess, with adults as well
