IM, I'll back you up. Yes kids are flipping bottles in my area. Most of these posters must live in the middle of nowhere.

My cousin is a teacher. Her school had to have an impromptu assembly to inform students that they would get ISS if they are caught bottle flipping...no questions asked. Apparently the teachers got tired of it.

I've seen videos of kids on Facebook doing it and tonight at the gym there were 3 kids on the floor (hanging out while parents were participating in the weight loss awards ceremony) flipping their water bottles. I grabbed mine and gave it a few flips. No go this first go round. One of them said I had to much water in it. A couple kids flipped and landed theirs. I determined while not today, perhaps one day I'll master the art and perhaps load a video of such up on Facebook.

I dont think its odd that there are banners up. Its a recreation center in san diego. The banners are for the youth teams that come from that center, much like a high school that puts up banners for league, division or state titles. Pretty cool idea i think that the kids get pumped up for when they have their banquets and get to raise them. (the newer ones are on the opposite wall)

I've seen the fad videos over the past couple months.

About 2 weeks ago, I saw some neighbor kids sitting in their driveway trying to figure it out. They were there for hours. I imagine that their mom/dad must have been in heaven sitting inside relaxing while their kids were entertaining themselves for once (probably not, but a man can dream right?)

As a parent, I 100% support this fad (although my kids are still too young). Its a harmless activity that keeps kids occupied. It builds hand/eye coordination and a basic understanding of physics through experimentation.
