Default Best brand to collect?

Mainly collect baseball but thought I'd expand my collection a bit. I do bowman chrome for baseball and panini (mainly contenders) for football. Any recommendations for basketball?

Seems like Prizm is a tad cherished over Select. I like both fairly equal but the cardboard community doesn't always aline with Holy Moly.

Flawless (patches) National Treasures and Immaculate (RPAs) are the high end brands that most people like.

Mid-end is kinda a mess. You have gold standard, noir, luxe etc. that all give you much of the same thing and don't really have anything that the hobby as a whole chases.

Low end... Prizm for refractors and golds. Select on card auto RCs and tie dye parallels are pretty popular.

For rookies I would say NT RPA and prizm refractors (silver/prizms/whatever they decide to call em)

depends on who you are planning on collecting. If it is a team or older players I would recommend pre Panini stuff. If you are doing rookies and currently players Prizm is great but it is no topps chrome in my opinion. I know others will disagree.

Think I'm leaning toward the panini immaculate. They seem to have decent rookie autos

Just looked at panini immaculaye prices, can't do $600 per case haha. Are panini contenders any good?

Unless you are looking to collect a player who isn't featured in Panini cards, I would go with Immaculate/Noir/Prizm. Revolution is also a really cool product if you are looking for something a little cheaper.

If you dont have the choice, Panini stuff...if you have the choice, UpperDeck licensed stuff.

NT is king for rookies. Prizm is good, too, although it's not about RC autos.

You're not going to find an exact parallel for BC RC Autos in baseball or Contenders RC Autos in football. For basketball rookies over the past few years, it's either RPAs (NT, Immaculate, maybe Noir) or the base Prizms (Prizm or Select).

I would check out select on card rookie autos. Really nice and you don't have to break the bank to scoop em.
