The average citizen doesn't even understand the political system we have in place and is too ignorant to learn it. Their vote is cast for superficial reasons because that is all the media will report on.

At the core, a person has a set of opinions and indulges in whatever "news" network fits that narrative. This is what becomes their truth and most will support it blindly. I think "talking politics" only serves as a way for people with WAY too much time on their hands to feel empowered by belittling others viewpoints with their own twisted POV. The internet has given fictitious sources to back an infinite amount of stances on an issue. If I wanna believe that Hillary is the spawn of Satan then I could come up with "sources" in a matter of seconds that support it.
Hundreds of pages ago, when this election was initially about Donald Trump (Republican) vs. Hillary Clinton (Democrat), that was the argument made by either side. Clinton spreading fear that Trump lacks the education and skill to be President, he could really hurt the country with his policy. I felt the same way you do, President holds little power anyway, so that was a fallacy to me.

But wow, has this election gone nutso in a hurry. When was the last time a policy issue was discussed by the media; it seems everyday is about leaks, hacks, charities or sexual assaults. Zero to do w/ actually country progression, everything to do with candidate character and country media infrastructure.

What is crazy is that we probably haven't seen anything yet. I'd place bets on one of them dropping out before Nov 8th at this point.

All the threatening on both sides, one of them should be able to deliver the knock-out blow right? Feels like Trump is the fighter behind by 10 points going into the 12th round ... time to throw 1,000 punches and leave yourself open hoping to land one big one before they do.

If any of the anon rumors are true, they will deliver the knockout blow for him. At this point he needs to try and stay level headed during the onslaught of media attacks.

Wow. People have already found evidence that the NYT story of Jessica Leed may be fake. She claimed that Trump lifted the armrest in first class to grope her but you couldn't and can't lift an armrest in first class. If this story is debunked, the NYT will be cooked.

But is it really all that surprising that it has turned volatile? The election is basically a reality tv show 24/7. It forces the public to form an opinion on something that they know nothing about or are only given the partial truth. So the stance usually has very little weight. Some people watch the Kardashians and the like to satisfy their desire for all the juicy drama and scandals. Then there are others who feel that they are above that type of entertainment and politics becomes their reality show. Both of which stem from the same craving.

An event occurs---->media reports on it with their own spin---->their viewers believe this spin is reality and this gives them "facts" to spew at someone that has been given their own spin of the truth. Rinse. Repeat.

It is not the media. If you support Clinton or Trump the FACT is your candidate is currupt and slime. Neither of these clowns is deserving of the office of the President of the United States. The distraction is what continues to let the system thrive. Divide and conquer.

Here is something else to add to that. The same line. Don't believe the msm. They are all intertwined

Well that's the nail in the coffin IMO.

Many have pointed out the difference between Trumps character and the corruption in Clinton. a very different level of "bad".

Trump's so slimy that he's throwing people off the trail on how corrupt HE most likely is. Why dig deeper on him for being corrupt when his outlandishness is so juicy and front and center.

What I don't get is how Trump and his people haven't been hacked by somebody yet.

There has to be qualified hackers who hate him out there, you've got to think he has a lot of nasty nasty emails out there.

This election sucks, one bad choice and a second who just can't be the representative for this country.

I understand it's many years later, but she doesn't look like groping material.

Well if someone hacked Trump then it would make it a rigged election but because it's Hillary it's not. Come on, isn't that obvious?
