Evert single movie that's been remade these past 10 years, people's standards must really have been lowered so bad in order for Ben-Hur, Annie, Ghost Busters, Arthur, Clash Of The Titans etc to get made.
I'd rather watch 'Millers Crossing' for the millionth time instead of any movie that's come out in the last 5 years.

There was talk of another Killer Klowns being made and if I'm not mistaken it was being written or had been but never picked up

They can remake any that they want as far as I am concerned, if you're a fan of the original, can just skip watching the new one if you don't want to see it, 99% chance a movie being remade won't affect your life in an adverse enough way to care about it.

I could tell by the trailers that GI Joe and Transformers movies were going to be pure crap so I just skipped them and shared the original animated films with my son. I know I'm not missing anything with that hodge podge of horrible actors/actresses/anything Michael Bay.

Wish they would leave the 80s alone.

I have no problems with remakes. If the creative team understands what made the original a classic worth remaking, then by all means, tap that and go ahead. Evil Dead was a great remake. They knew what made the original a classic. Point Break is not a good remake. What made the original a classic were the performances, not the story. When you have a movie like that, it's almost impossible to remake I think.

A movie like Back to the Future is remake proof. Take a look at the Eric Stoltz footage, you know that the only reason that movie works as well as it does is Michael J. Fox. Movies like Robocop, totally fine with remaking. I actually liked that remake too. They took the original and took it in an entirely new direction.

Another remake proof movie would be Dirty Harry. You can't remake that movie since Clint Eastwood makes the movie and the character stand out.

They've been trying to make a sequel forever! Killer Klowns is one of my all time favorite movies and I've just been taunted with news about another movie for the last 15 years or so lol. Last I heard there is a sequel written and the main cast has already agreed to do it and they even have plans for the next two movies before combining everything into an epic finish but nobody is willing to back it unfortunately.

Just thought of this. I was in a theater about to see Sully and a trailer for The Magnificent Seven played. Someone groaned out loud about "Another Hollywood remake!" Wow, way to know your history there bud. The original was a remake of Japanese classic, Seven Samurai.
