Skip's "As Good As It Gets" meme comes from a movie starring Democrat Jack Nicholson, directed by Democrat James L. Brooks.

What would you guys do if you were only allowed to use memes from stuff created by your side?
Be a whole lot more pictures of Kirk Cameron around here, I suppose...

Once again, I do not hope to please you, and nothing I write is for you, egomaniac. Thank you for again letting me know I am on the right track.

If dems were as witty as they thought they were, they would realize how Trump punked them today.

As opposed to the way he punked the entire GOP out of their party's nomination?

Say, that IS funny...

So, essentially we can't prove the coin even existed in the first place?

Not nearly as funny as how he, in the mist of the DNC convention, has managed to steal the headlines. Not only did he steal the headlines, he put Hillary Clinton, emails, hacking, espionage, and national security back into the headlines.

Where are all the "first woman to be nominated for president" headlines?

Where are the headlines for Obama's speech?

Where are the headlines for Kaines speech?

Trump stole the DNC's thunder today, and he didn't even have to try, the Clinton campaign did all the work for him.

BTW, since pgisback never posted the rest of the quote that I would say he cherry picked, but it is obvious he only knows it because it is what the media is telling him is:

If it is Russia, nobody even knows this, it’s probably China, or it could be somebody sitting in his bed. But it shows how weak we are, it shows how disrespected we are … So I know nothing about it. It’s one of the most farfetched I’ve ever heard.

I have nothing to do with Putin. I’ve never spoken to him. I don’t know anything about him other than he will respect me. He doesn’t respect our president. And if it is Russia — which it’s probably not, nobody knows who it is — but if it is Russia, it’s really bad for a different reason, because it shows how little respect they have for our country, when they would hack into a major party and get everything. But it would be interesting to see — I will tell you this — Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 e-mails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let’s see if that happens. That’ll be next. Yes, sir…

It is plain to see he is not asking the Russians to hack the DNC, he is saying if they did, release the missing emails.

Good stuff, but to be fair, those speeches haven't been made yet.
Headlines to follow.

Here's the speakers who just wrapped up.
(No Charles "Chachi" Arcola, I admit, but some real star power.)

Ripley herself, Sigourney Weaver came out swinging on environmental issues, backed up by Governor Jerry Brown of California.

Now underway is an appeal to address the continuing occurrences of mass murders in this country perpetrated by people using guns they shouldn't have had.

Speaking now:
Erica Smegielski, daughter of Sandy Hook Elementary principal
Former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey
Felicia Sanders & Polly Sheppard, survivors of AME Church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina
Gabby Giffords & Mark Kelly

All of the above were directly touched by this scourge and are marshaling grief into action on behalf of our cherished police and most vulnerable citizens alike, in the interest of protecting them with the same vigor we use to ensure our various rights. (There's probably a Seinfeld on for people who aren't having that.)

After that, it's the case for Hillary's foreign policy with a parade of statesmen culminating with Joe Biden.

Then it's Lenny Kravitz, who presumably will serenade Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine to the podium. Tim speaks fluent Spanish. Think he'll use it in his speech?

Sharon Belkofer, mother of fallen solider will follow Kaine.

President Barack Obama will bring it home.

Wow because of this thread and the arguments presented I've completely changed my political philosophy.

Said no one in the history of the Internet. What a great idea to divide and create animosity amongst an already small community.

A surprise performance by the toast of Broadway and Hollywood.
Yes, that's Cagney and Lacey, together again.

I was presented with some things that made me think. I also hold no animosity towards anyone in this thread. We are all adults here. I understand that people have differing opinions.

I like your style, but there was already animosity.
At least here, if you are out of line, you are not saved by the thread being deleted. Your words remain, even if you are suspended or banned. I think it's teaching better manners, possibly the mysterious Houdini's true intent, but who can really say?

Back to the election, I'm still on the fence with my vote, haha. Let's see if this Foreign Policy package at the DNC beginning now can help me make up my mind, wink wink.

It begins with an ominous Alex Jones-ish, Dinesh D'Souza-esque type film entirely made up of well-known Right Wing elected officials and talking heads those two propagandist only wish they could get for their movies. All of them are voicing deep concern over Trump having the nuclear codes.

What's that? An early Lenny Kravitz guitar riff, for Navy Rear Admiral John Hutson (Ret.)?
A disturbance on the floor!
Yes! It's heating up!!!

Weaver is actually a long-time activist. I'm sure Kravitz has fought the good fight, too, but I was needling the Dems a little for that, as in their having to limit the entertainment at their access they could use to punch up the show in between heavy and serious speeches, of which there are a lot tonight. They are literally unlimited in people who'd answer the call. Almost anyone they asked would show since most creative types are on board with Hillary/Bernie. On the other hand, if you don't believe the Republicans weren't literally begging celebrities of any kind to attend Trump's convention, I have but two words for you:

Chachi.
Sabato.

Say them fast three times!

I would be more interested in them if instead of just activism, with there position, truly tried to make a difference by running for office. :-)

I never said I was a Republican and I didn't realize gifs were party specific. But they got gifs for days...

Former Lynn Swann GIF recoved in the name of peace.

Fair, but if you could STILL play Ripley in Alien and your Ghostbusters character in your mid to late 60's and are being asked to do just that, would you be able to give that up?

Calm down. I have the same feelings towards those who posted in this thread now as I did before. I'd still buy a baseball card from a known liberal. It's all going to be okay.
