Interesting...they throw money around at the teachers in NV like we're made of money. LOTS of wasted money here for them.

I think if I did the more detailed answers my trump % would go down. I sorta just picked a lot and stayed moderate on my choice. But I tend to vote socially more than economically.

Wow wow wow! I did kind of rush through it but I had no idea I was this one sided! Makes no sense because when I took this quiz last election, I was like 70% Romney and 65% Obama.

That's what 4 more years of liberal leadership did to you.

more military spending? we spend the absolute most money in the world on the military already. IF you said SMARTER military spending, i'd be right there with you.

as for number 7, i don't know of any women's clinics aside from PP. do you? How plentiful are they?

edit- in a simple google search, 2/5 women's health clinics near me are PP. Do you really think cutting 30-40% (if we extrapolate, which i'm sure other areas have more options) of the options means there will be enough clinics for women?

As an outside observer, this is one of the issues I wished candidates would address more. By many accounts, there is a lot of wasted spending throughout the military that could be cut down. Trump said this early in the race, but appears to have backtracked and supported increased spending.

There is also no need to increase military spending. The United States spends more on the military than the next eight biggest spenderst combined; most of which are allies.

I find it ironic, too, that conservatives are the ones wanting an increase in military spending, despite it being a wholly un-conservative request.

1. So ending Social Security and Medicare?
3. Really??? So the opposite of small government and lower taxes...
4. Corporations or jobs? Also, reducing entitlement would mean reducing corporate entitlements.
5. My family sells medical equipment. If you want to reform it, institute price ceilings because the normal laws of supply and demand don't apply to medical billing.
6. Invasions and occupations?

Seems pretty contradictory in many respects.

if we cut spending by 1% of the GDP (when we spend around 3.9% now) all of that money could fund not only the pensions of government and public employees, but also education, research, and infrastructure repair (just think of all the jobs to be created with funding going toward repairing crumbling bridges and roads!),

we waste quite a bit right now on programs that just aren't necessary. that F-35 worked out real well, while costing us a mind-boggling sum of cash. we also "lost" something like 8 trillion that just disappeared in the pentagon.

Social security disability is the newest welfare scam. When I speak of entitlements, I speak of food stamps and medicaid. Not to mention housing and all of the other handouts to citizens that are a drain on society.

Military spending can be upped with funds that are re-allocated from entitlement programs. Want to eat? Work. Want healthcare? Work. Want a roof over your head? Work.

It's funny to me listening to the DNC speakers mention slavery. In this society, the people who go out and earn a living are slaves to those on food stamps and so on. So things have turn around quite a bit. I am a slave to the very people complaining about slavery hundreds of years ago.

Talk about double standards and hypocrisy.

I agree that we could cut military spending, by A LOT. No need to spend so much when we aren't even on the verge of a Major world scale war.

So much money is spent on advancing weapon systems and programs when there isn't a dire need for them. I think the time and money should be put forth into extensive research, before they do some research, then estimate off that, which leads to many cost overruns.

There is no need for all the military spending, we already have some of the most advanced weapons in the world. How many other countries have advanced aircraft carriers, let alone aircraft carriers in general? Three years ago didn't China just unveil its first carrier? Our AF and Navy have some of the most advanced weapon systems in the world.

Military spending NEEDS to be cut. More oversight into the acquisition process and the actual spending would probably save a good amount of money. Just imagine how much money would be free if spending was cut by 3%.

The biggest issue with that is the amount of people on entitlement programs that are mentally ill. we would need to differentiate people who utilize these programs. A large number in PA have a mental health disorder that prohibits them from working. My husband was trying to help on of his higher functioning clients obtain employment. The poor guy wants to work and no one will hire him. We would need to make sure the job market is there for them. There has been significant rise in the amount of mental health diagnosis recently in children. I would like to see the ratio between adults vs children on welfare.

Also, those us that work are not slaves to those on entitlement programs. That's a bit dramatic of a statement. If you want to change the system, I encourage you to volunteer. Maybe you could start a club that teaches inner city boys the importance of growing up to be respectable young men. Or, a job placement group. It's probably harder for someone in poverty to get a job than it is someone with a middle class background.
